I missed it the first time around. When will it be available again?
I played the old AV back in vanilla, is it exactly the same?
Thanks for any info you have!

Minus you logging in on tuesday, leaving the AV, then rejoining the same AV on thursday.
That’s usually during the anniversary event, unfortunately.
Who knows, maybe one day they’ll turn it into a new brawl every couple months. I’d really enjoy that.
November … it comes every November during the anniversary .
Currently, it is a yearly event. I have been advocating for the two ‘endless’ battlegrounds (Korrak’s Revenge and Classic Ashran) to be the ‘off-week’ brawls. I know I’d stay subbed for much longer if I didn’t have to wait an entire year and MAUs would surely benefit - I know people who have been in Endless Ashran for 8+ hours a day.

first year was great scaling was awesome for MOST players. it was rough for toons under 100.
last year was garbage only max level players scaled properly and left everyone else out in the cold.
It was completely broken with twinks running around one shotting people( games were still fun no question )… you must have a different idea what scaling means compared to the masses.
Socks had a clip up where he wrecked a full Ruin premade on his own in the 2019 KR. While it was fun to watch , that is not good scaling in any sense of the word.
Last year was tuned much better with no crazy twink setups working .
had less to do with scaling and more to do with gear choices and stacking set bonuses etc. last year was for max level toons only which kind of alienates a huge portion of players who pvp.
Ya I can agree with that . They could have scaled up lower level players better . Perhaps this year will be better , as last year it was in the midst of SL roll out.
I have great respect for people who chose to utilize old set bonuses, trinket procs, legendaries etc. I did that myself.
Alterac Valley was not designed to be outscaled. One person mowing down entire teams and all the NPCs was not intended, and it’s good that was addressed. Equally, the changes to make it less rewarding also helped a great deal in cutting down leaches - 2019 had mount farmers, Korrak farmers, XP farmers. 2020 had mount farmers, but they also wanted to PvP.
I think they could have got scaling better, like Dosao says. The template could have done with higher base stats, but the beauty of Alterac Valley is that you don’t really need gear to contribute. So many games were won because we had people willing to gather resources in the mines, or to loot crystals for the druids.
