When I hover my abilities on my action bar there is no display showing what they do. When I hover them it only shows the name of the ability and there is no tooltip that shows the description of the ability. I went through all the settings but I cannot find anything that brings it back. Can someone give me some insight here?

You could just turn everything into a macro with #showtooltip

Try /reload or an addon is causing it
Sounds like a UI addon messing with spell tooltips.

It’s definitely this. Toggle on and off your addons that conflict with your UI, and of course make sure your addons are up to date.
I’ve seen your issue before, and it was definitely a UI addon issue.
