likely the last awc ever. 10k viewers and they just laid off a lot of people from their esports sector.

That’s right around with how many people usually watch.
Pretty normal for live views from what I remember of past broadcasts.
I thought this was a Microsoft/Activision cut and not specifically from the WoW e-sports team. Did they even mention exactly which games had e-sports jobs cut?

things are worse than i expected. i think a transmog contest hosted by pikaboo would get more views and engagement.
all the esports divsions across activsion got cuts. the AWC’s days are numbered. the mdi will be affected too but they at least gets around 20k viewers or so. 
Again I did not see any mention of which games had e-sports positions cut. Microsoft/Activision have a lot of games. There may very well have been zero positions cut from the small WoW e-sports team. I’d need to see some specifics from a reputable source.
It must have been people in the marketing team and who knows what. Bureaucracies are annoying.

Never been much in to esports but I watch vods of awc cups.
Feel like they might have more viewership streaming during primetime on the weekends - like 5-9. Instead they do it in the afternoon. A lot of people have jobs/are busy during that time.
