The alliance loss rates seems horrendous. It wasn’t that bad in retail and the only difference I can see is where they moved the horde start area.
Multiple post have suggested it has nothing to do with it and wont so if it doesn’t matter then why not move it back and see if it has any change.

Is there ever a patch that fixes AV?
Cause’ #nochanges, uh-duh!

Alliance declares [insert BG here] is fixed every Tuesday after the devs release a BG patch.
Horde adjusts and BGs are usually back to normal by the following weekend.

Can’t fix was Isn’t broken. 5,000 people will disagree with me though.

People seem to conveniently forget the Horde cave was only moved after they completely resigned AV and gave it the respawn-reinforcement mechanic.
Asking to move the cave without the reinforcement mechanic would not only be non-vanilla, but would in a Frankenstein version of AV that never existed, ever.

Patch 73.1.6 is the patch where people finally stop playing like morons and learn how to play as a team. Released in the year 4313. I just got out of my time machine to check.

So only like 3 or 4 queue times then? Good to know.

They’ll shove that cave right back when we hit tbc, if we ever do anyway.
I kinda hope they have that month-long period when the reinforcement mechanic was in and the Horde cave is in its original place…just so people can really see what imbalance is like.
Why not move the Alliance Cave closer instead?

Not only was it not that bad, Alliance had a distinct winrate advantage (well over 60%) during Vanilla. With the cave EXACTLY where it is now.
Its almost like the cave isn’t the problem.

It ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
What do you mean by “fix”? Make it perfect? Is there a perfect AV?
Can any of us define the exact changes to AV that would make it perfect (make it “fixed”)?
Historically, Vanilla AV was changed more than once. Some players would say that improved it. Others would say it hurt it.
A big part of an MMO is the players. Blizzard cannot give us the 2005 players. In particular, Blizzard cannot force players to NOT use any new strategy invented in the last 14 years (but not used in 2005).
So Blizzard cannot give us 2005 “the way it was in retail in 2005”.
#nochanges that benefit alliance*

My post was purely sardonic.
Then release AV 1.5 please.

Mmmm, no. They used 1.12 dataset for classic, you’ll just have to find a way to deal with it.
