When do Holy Paladins get BIS healing plate?

Phase 3? 8? Never?

For the most part T3, there are a few decent plate items earlier, but there simply isn’t much, but it all depends on what you want to do or are looking in for in gear, as T3 wont necessarily give you the most +healing or +MP5 or even +crit, but its essentially BIS with good overall stats.

I feel pally gear is the most confusing and convoluted gear to get. It’s a mix mash of int, healing, damage/healing, and strength. Is this good for what spec I am is always a mind game

Youll put on the teal dress and youll like it

No dress once you have T3 if you go with it.

90% of people playing rn either wont play long enough for naxx / wont play enough naxx to get that gear.

Do it once or twice and quit until TBC

Ugh, possibly not even then. There’s a bug with T3 that makes its 6pc bonus stack. This sounds good on paper until you release that multiple paladins healing a target has fairly high potential to start knocking buffs off all over the place. Folks might start getting a bit of grief for wearing more than 5pc T3 if this doesn’t get addressed.

We’re a fairly casual guild but our tank likes to pop consumables and in the span of 6s on a Saph pull he lost Fort, MotW, Mongoose, and his Frost pot.

I logged the bug here but, unsurprisingly, no response…

The upside though is that the bonus stacks too, which means if your paladin healers are bored and feel like spamming <insert favourite caster here> they will get some rather insane mana regen or spell power boosts

There is a possibility of the bug having been addressed, probably needs to be tested for confirmation, but yes then assuming full world buffs in a raid, then really isn’t a good full set of plate atm, though you could get close with the AQ40 healing legs, and the Peacekeeper gloves, I guess you could also use the AQ40 healing plate belt, thats a pretty big downgrade though.

As of Friday, I think, it was still live. It might have been fixed, but it seems unlikely. We can check again though.

*EDIT: Correction, Friday last week is the last time we tested.

That said from a raiding perspective, armor on a healer really doesn’t matter, and if your not in a raid, then the set bonus wont be a issue even if its not fixed.

T3. Bless you.
