Again, gold making isn’t what blizzard wants us doing, they want us dependent on tokens and buying gold. Grinding for flying, making us work longer for each cool thing or buying gear through runs and carries. TSM made gold easier, the new AH makes it a bit harder to “Play it” …its share driven and a business model more than ever before.
Except the fact, that you don’t need a 3rd party anything to multibox. There is also a hardware option. The software is just a kvm switch you can buy at any place that sells computers, or computer parts. These threads are hilarious. So many opinions lol. And we all know what they say about opinions lol.
Here to support banning multiboxing, zero reason to allow that type of degenerate gameplay as ion puts it.
Wait a sec. This thread is missing Rhaketap (I may not have spelled that correctly).
Thread is 15 days old. Somebody just decided to necro it, instead of just spamming the forum with another stupid whiny multibox thread.
Eh. I wouldn’t necessarily call 15 days a necro. I’ve seen threads necro’d that are older than 1-2 years.
That is true haha. Still doesn’t change the fact that these threads are frigging hilarious. Or maybe sad lol. Sad in the fact that people get all bent out of shape over a stupid videogame.
Afford to?
I’ve spent hundreds of hours on various servers ensuring you get fair prices.
Not being gouged by asshats, not everyone is out for themselves, and Ihave been on differing servers where others do similar things.
By truely expressing an interest in the AH you can cap prices. You can ensure that items everyone needs never go above a fixed amount.
All the while wasting a ton of gold cycling something your purchases encourage to be farmed, into something at a fixed, and fair price.
Less hate and more love!
Is multiboxing even a thing in other MMOs?
It varies. Some MMOs allow software and hardware multiboxing, some only ban software multiboxing, and some ban the practice entirely.
Fair prices? I want to make money too but the only people who profit off these low prices are MB’s.
Embersilk, Windwool, Thorium & other mats used for the relics of the past coming in the pre-patch have had their prices absolutely destroyed & they’re being posted in absolutely obscene amounts. 12k Thorium Ore for 3g when it was 8+. The only people who can profit off of that are the multiboxers who can farm those obscene amount & tank the price. I’d like to make some gold for once in my wow career instead of being perpetually poor, but I can’t because the things worth farming arent worth the 12 hours farming/day to keep up with a singular person who can do it in 1 hour.
Old world stuff?
Who wouldneed old wold stuff now?
Only new players?
After 10 years do you reckon, anyone who wouldof has? Which would leave only a very small group looking to buy any of it?
I’ve watched servers play with stuff beyond the past 4 years of the current xpac. Its not an active market, nor is it difficult to obtain the materials. Only time consuming.
If the company wants to re-validate it, ok. But none of the materials are hard to get. Of course we could all go back to brawling over Khorium nodes.
Its worthless unless someone is attempting to control that area. Cause then you can persistantly undercut them.
Why be concerned with how others kill their time?
Raiding aint fair, mythic plus aint fair, PvP aint fair, farming never was fair either.
Find something that sells, find another that sells. If no one is buying it, or it eats all your time for little reward. Dont do it.
Why so frantic about gold anyway?
Posting in yet another multiboxing thread.
Do you know what relics of the past are? Old world mats are used to craft relics of the past which are used to upgrade the ilvl of old world items. Relics of the past are a new evergreen item that exist for all the new people coming to the game & for people leveling alts with the new leveling experience. Your WOTLK gear is good again up to level 50. Your Nightfall gets to be good again. Bolts of Embersilk, Frostweave, Netherweave, Runecloth, Thorium, all of these old world mats are becoming evergreen. And also, Embersilk & Frostweave are pretty annoying to farm, so is windwool, these are mats that were pretty easy to get naturally during the expansion, but going out & farming it now is a different story. So yeah, while time consuming, the market for old world mats is re-emerging, for everyone who wants old world transmog & relics of the past to level their alts. It’s an heirloom you can make a profit with.
And here I was hoping for the removal of all that old world junk for generic mats.
owell.
So… What does this have to do with multiboxing?
Multiboxers can farm x* the amount of mats & tank the price, which is what I’ve experienced. A multiboxer can farm the old mats & gather x* the amount of mats & sell them at the bare minimum price for profit. I can farm 4 stacks in a couple hours, but I can’t compete with the multiboxer who more than doubled that in less time. Yeah I’m bias because they personally hurt me.
Isnt that a good thing for people who just wanna upgrade their gear and play the game?
You know, instead of being price gouged and having to farm for ages to get the junk?
Was it fun to pay 200-500gold for a glyph when they were apart of your spec? (major/minor)
Or was it fun to pay 20g?
I have enough alts to not pay for things, personally, but I can tell you it’s not fun to have a price tanked for more than 100% of what it was because some other jerk can sell quadruple what I am at a quarter of the price, because what took me 4 hours to get took them 1.
And if they were 4 people? Would that make a difference?
Accept it’s really not one chatacter. It’s one character listing the mats gathered by the other 11 characters. I gather one herb node for 4 to 5 of X herb, multiboxer gathers the same node and get 12 times that number of the same node at a fraction of the time and effort expended to gather that node. In an hour I gather 400 of a given herb, multiboxer gathers 4800 of the same, then under cuts everyone and crashes the market and no one can make anything for their time invested.
Its a MASSIVE problem.
