When are you going to get over Teldrassil?

Exactly. Genn had planned to attack Sylvanas before he had even left the harbor.

Reading Apparition’s posts give me a headache. It’s not even lore-twisting, it’s straight-up headcanon most of the time. Pyromancer twists lore to serve his own opinions, but this guy just straight makes things up.

We all know it was Hillary.

  3. Horde gets horribly defeated.
  4. Night Elves new home becomes Moonglade.
  5. Night Elves go back to being more independent from the Alliance.

This is the same faction that tore up the Vale of Eternal Bloss–I mean sorrows and deliberately woke up an Old God in the process. Also that shady business in Stormheim while the Legion was invading, making deals with a soul-stealing squid to enslave Eyir.

You all will not let the Night Elves have Elune.

The former was Garoosh and the latter was Sylvannas. Conflating their actions with those of the Horde at large is the same thing as pinning the guilt for Garithos and Arthas on the Alliance.

Sylvanas has the support of the people.
Most Orcs followed Garrosh.
WoD orcs.

The horde is responsible wholly and completely.

Honestly, I expect no real revelations about Elune beyond “maybe” the reveal that SHE is Bwon’s boss. He’s not an evil force; He claims to predate even the Trolls as a species; and I would not be shocked if an entity that has so much “balance” themes had some agents and contacts within the land of the dead (she did with Malorne in the life domain). In fact, I’d find it VERY unlikely that an entity as old as Elune is WOULDN’T have at least one “employee” within the Realms of Death.

I still think Helya is more likely to be Bwonsamdi’s boss.

Though most likely would be some unknown new person to be introduced.

My issue with Heyla is: 1) The two seem to compete for souls (having independent domains within the Shadowlands that show no sign of overlapping); and 2) (more importantly) having Heyla (or Muel’zala) end up being Bwon’s boss would be just another round of villain batting the Horde (and once again tie the domain of death with a negative connotation, which it shouldn’t be. Even NEs would agree that DEATH is an important counterpart to LIFE).

He is the Patron Loa of the Darkspear (and now serves as the patron Loa of the Zandalari as well). Even if he’s got angles that he wishes to pursue, he’s never been shown to be a malevolent force (and I think his deal with Rastakhan was ALWAYS intended to get him at the side of Talaanji, not her dad). He also genuinely seems to hold contempt for Sylvanas (and if there was anyone who has a hand in pulling Sylvie’s strings right now, its Heyla).

If Bwonsambi ended up villain batted he’d probably just be replaced by Vol’jin any way.

And if Helya was Bwonsamdi’s boss why wouldn’t he want to collect Sylvanas for Helya since she probably didn’t live up to her deal?

Strange you seem so indifferent to the idea that the Patron Deity of the Darkspear getting villain batted and gutted; when I’d bet you’d be ardently opposed to the idea that Elune could receive the same treatment. Bwonsamdi is the first death entity that we’ve encountered that is not evil, just shifty. His addition to the Horde as a new character is also amazing, not just because he’s such a deep part of the Darkspear lore; or that he’s just entertaining; but because he also does slightly help to even out the MASSIVE power vacuum between the factions (if only slightly).

Loa’jin should come back, but we should keep Bwon too.

EDIT: As for Sylvie … I’m convinced she IS living up to her side of her bargain with Heyla with this War. It took the Horde PC promising 3 MILLION souls to Bown to just get him to help out Talaanji; can you imagine what the cost Heyla had for her aiding Sylvie (and we don’t even know if the lantern was the only thing Sylvie got)?

Bwonsamdi abandoned Rastakhan and there are many Zandalari that still don’t like Bwonsamdi. I don’t see Bwonsamdi being much different from Sylvanas in his willingness to use and discard people who he’s supposedly supposed to be being patron for.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Bwonsamdi is cool as hell, but I don’t see him having any actual care for the Horde.

I will admit I am indifferent the power vacuum between the factions, so that is not a factor to me.

As for Heyla, when she does show up again, I do not expect Sylvanas to be on her good side.

He’s an entity of death, and tbh … I don’t blame him for Rastakhan.

Their deal in no way entitled Rastakhan to Bwonsamdi risking his own existence for him; especially due to his own foolishness (which, yes, so many of the tragedies that occurred on Zandalar were due to Rastakhan’s own Ego and Foolishness). Not to mention, the moment you sign a contract that includes your bloodline … its almost guaranteed that they’ll prioritize your heirs if you act entitled with them. On top of this, Rastakhan used the Loa of Kings for centuries to deny Bownsamdi his dues (there is a reason that neither the Darkspear or Zandalari practice necromancy).

The Darkspear’s patron Loa is no more expendable than the Night Elves’ Goddess in my eyes (and should he face villain batting … Elune shouldn’t be off the table either).

I do not disagree with your assessment of Rastakhan.

However Trolls have shown time and time again to entirely see their patron loa as expendable, so they don’t necessarily see eye to eye with you, either.

I made a thread about that, but how can we get over this whole event?
Sylvanas decided to wipe out almost the entire race, kill countless innocents, take their lands and their home and lose absolutely nothing after that until now.

Alliance (Night elf) players want atleast some compensation for what happened. Most of their race is dead now, and this will never be justifiable. We got literally nothing after that. In 8.1 Tyrande got new powers that made her weaker than Nathanos as he almost killed her.

How can we get over a 5 digit number of innocent deaths without anything? The devs even said that night elves already got their revenge which is wrong on so many levels

Funny, I remember a majority of Elven subspecies abandoning their expendable goddess Elune. The Sin’dorei worship the Sun now. The Shal’dorei worship the Stars (and they are of the same generation as the Kaldorei). They Naga worship the Old Gods. I also recall the belief that Elune slept in the WoE during the day, what happened to that belief when the Elves blew up the Well?

And as a note, Loa do not take kindly to being betrayed. There has never been an instance of a Troll group turning on their deities that didn’t come with some serious bad Karma down the road for them (with the Drakkari being the most punished). Turning on the LOA OF THE DEAD (who is the caretaker of the souls of nearly ALL Trolls) is likely a VERY bad idea.

You can add the Horde Undead Night Elves to your list as well.

Who would take kindly to be betrayed? Easy narrative fix, just have Bwonsamdi betray the Horde first, then have Vol’jin replace him. Isn’t that what you’ve been pointing out for Sylvanas as well?
