did any of these people actually watch the video lol? alot of people taking it very seriously lol.
as a result of this video i now shout HOLY DAGGER! on every pull when playing my priest.
Itâs been a long while since I played a disc priest, but the DPS does heal you. Itâs only when someone drops to half health that Iâll pop to heals. Tank always gets a shield, nobody else.
I was in a timewalking group a while back with a disc priest healing and had a rogue throwing an unholy fit the whole time because the healer was doing DPS
The ramification of zero healer downtime is that noone except the elite of the elite would be able to play healers, or the game. Any avoidable damage would be instantly lethal. If avoidable damage isnât instantly lethal, then that would mean the healer would have downtime to DPS. If bads like you or me are able to keep people alive, then players better than us would have time to DPS between heals. If I am able to heal groups at 240 ilvl, then being at 250 ilvl would mean I have time to DPS. Unless, of course, damage done to the group scales with healer gearâŚin which case, why would healers ever see a piece of loot again for the rest of their existences?
just imagining when you start a dungeon and you get consistent pulsing dmg from start to finish. Just thinking about it sounds terrible. Makes me wonder if people are even aware of what theyâre asking for
I mean, they very clearly, extremely, donât. If itâs 100% healing uptime in a +2, then wtf happens in a +20? I truly donât understand the thought process that leads to posts like that.
And then youâre like : Ooooh yeah, GCD is a thing. Oh tank, sorry, I lagged.
people already have problem healing grevious. Imagine grevious with that
Are you people really this unimaginative and incapable of thinking outside of the boring dingy box of only the things you have done before?
Of course you are.

And how would that leave room for an infinitely scaling M+ system? If healers had to heal 100% of the time in a +2, what happens in a +15? M+ scales exponentially and gear is linear.
If no one needs heals, healers should be dpsing. This discussion happened already months ago. We are talking about free GCDs. We not not telling anyone to prioritize dpsing as a healer. Only with free GCDs.
How does the game handle DPS needing to do damage 100% of the time?
Or tanking 100% of the time?
Why would no one need heals if the party is consistently taking damage of one form or another?
Who am I to tell another player how to play their class/spec and a game theyâre paying their hard earned money for?
If a healer wants to tank or dps then have at it bro. To hell with play guides and the internet. DOWHATYOULIKE
You donât. DPS have free GCDs for utility, too. Not every encounter in the game is a DPS check requiring 100% DPS. Most arenât, in fact.
Tanks also use utility spells and some, like Prot Paladin, actively heal too. Tanks spend more globals, Iâd argue, damaging instead of mitigating.
Depends. Lots of times the party may have taken damage, but theyâre not actually in danger. Why waste a global healing someone from 80% - 100% when theyâre in no danger and you can instead spend it dealing damage and helping the encounter end sooner?
Part of healing well requires knowing when to conserve your higher-power heals and also knowing when not to waste your mana on filler when the partyâs not actually in danger.
If you truly have no free globals then youâre genuinely wasting tons of mana and are bad.
Anyway, if this actually made healing more fun, youâd think Grievous would be everyoneâs favorite affix.
What are they doing with their GCD if not dealing damage to the boss?

So tanks are maintaining threat⌠the focus of their role.
To prevent them from dying when that next hit takes them from 80% to 0. A dead DPS canât do damage.
Utility, offheals, popping a defensive, moving, avoiding mechanics.
There are plenty of encounters where that wonât happen, though.
Perhaps if the healer wasnât busy dealing damage they wouldnât need to offheal.
Oh, so all the same things the healer is doing when they arenât healing.
DPS use all of their globals. They DPS priority, but they also use utilities to help the tank.
Tanks use all of their globals. They tank priority, but they use utilities to help the group. Most of our rotation is straight DPS for numbers, not threat.
Under your logic I should get aggro and then just stand there.
Healers donât need to heal with every GCD. They should use every GCD like everyone else. Otherwise they are just standing there trying to look pretty.
So just like the healers doâŚ
Tanks literally generate threat by doing damage. Itâs like your pointing out that a disc priest does damage while healing.

No, you literally deal damage to manage your threat level. If you just sat there you would lose aggro. You wouldnât be tanking.
Poor game design. Healers should never be required to deal damage for the group to be successful.
