On this exact char, i’m getting 1.8k matches, where every1 else got that exact cr, I`m not even 1k and got no chance, why is this happening?

It’s based on MMR.
You won a lot early on.
If I do my first shuffle on an alt and go 6-0 then I’ll go from 1500 to roughly 2000-2050.

ty Kenny, I did not fully understand myself how the whole placement match thing goes. So if you swap specs no RSS games played, then its placement matches again?
MMR is more malleable initially, yeah.
Not sure how offspecs work. You aren’t put in completely fresh, though.

Kennie is one of the few people who seem to be here to actively provide helpful information to people. These forums are not moderated or curated enough to where you can just tell people to reference the sidebar or pinned faq post. I, for one, am glad that people like kennie still waste their time here. These would be better forums if there were more kennies.

Yeah, it can be hard to concisely explain some of these things without coming across the wrong way.

I think you do a good job of it. There are plenty of talented players who aren’t necessarily knowledgeable and there are plenty of knowledgeable players who have been around long enough to look at the game objectively and fairly without needing to invoke their pedigree or talk down to lower rated players. You’ve got some high level achievements and have clearly played for a while but I’ve never seen you be condescending about it.
OH no, I was just curious how that whole initial games thing worked… I could read a novel of technical greek salad, or I could ask Kennie for a quick sentence.
