Ah that is PVE, which I despise…
Is that the thing about some people equipping high ilvl & great trait azerite pieces but greens in all their other slots? Saw people talking about it somewhere, but didn’t know what to think as one side claimed it was a hoax and the other side claimed it was true but got fixed.
Anyway, which RBG teams wear greens, and what’s their rating like? If there are RBG teams out there wearing ALL GREENS with super good ratings, I will be very impressed. But I would need evidence they wear all greens all the time.
It is very obvious that when people type “forced into group play” they are responding to the folks who call rated “group play.” So - rather in line with your own assertion - group play is already available via random BGs, which are what the majority of people playing this game prefer to play.
You want to match up with the Horde well make sure you are at least in Minnium Heroc raid or with a couple of mythic pieces. I tREALLY helps to match evenly against them.
“f you aren’t putting in the extremely minimal effort to get 370s from the warfronts, then you really can’t be griping about item level. IMO, of course. ”
Oh yeah, that’s like, every 2 weeks you get a chance at a 370 item. CHANCE. My feral has done it for 6 straight times nothing dropped. No wait, one thing did, but I couldn’t use it as I ALREADY HAD a better 370 item there.
RNG sucks eggs.

Thus my point “Why do I have to PVE to PVP? What if I JUST WANT TO PVP?!”
Vanilla forced far more grouping than the game does now for competitive end-game gear.
True, but there were TONS more people playing during that time. I’ve always had an extremely casual attitude toward WoW yet was still able to find a guild that consistently ran 40-mans a couple times a week such that over time I was able to get a couple awesome PvE pieces to complement my Honor System pieces. Today I don’t think many casual guilds like that exist - too many people fall by the wayside as they get bored or frustrated they aren’t getting stuff fast enough.
Boil it down and Loth just wants free gear for no work.
I consider that a trollish as well as incorrect remark. You are targeting someone specifically and claiming something against him/her that, to an honest & reasonable reader, does not hold water.
Warfront? Must be a PVE thing. Capping conquest takes a full week. Rated/2s/3s you can gear up quick. But you have to be able to find regular players and time (which is hard).
Never had anything from a BG drop higher than 340. The 355 gear I have came from random 2s/3s players.
@Loth, I think if you are playing arena you should get pretty good gear at least in terms of ilvl, maybe even with azerite traits? I only play randoms and am getting 370s now. I do the world bosses and warfronts too. Not excited about the stats and azerite traits so much, but I still feel like I have options this xpac. Have to admit I’m getting kinda bored with grinding BGs (conquest) though.
Chance for a 370 off of the world boss and a guaranteed 370 from the warfront quest.
Yeah, seemed kind of mean at first but now that it comes out that Loth is not even willing to do the warfront quest for a guaranteed 370 I have less feels.
Good point there was far less elitism and exclusion in Vanilla. Hell, I was in the guild with the world first Ragnaros kill for a short period of time but I didn’t like the farming necessary (gold for consumables/repairs, items for specific resistances) so I dropped out of that scene entirely.
TBH I didn’t read all the posts so maybe I missed something, lol. I dislike PvE too but can fairly easily get my butt to the warfront and world boss. Helps a lot to have a good friend to go with though - it eases those minutes of PvE drudgery boredom.
yea they are wearing high ilvl azurite with greens in other slots.
If you think it was incorrect then you are not reading Loth’s posts. Let me sum it up.
-Wants equivalent gear from random bgs as rated Pvpers, who put their rating on the line each time they Q, whether arena or bg.
-Outright refuses to do any PVE whatsoever, including the 20 min warfront that gives you a 100% 370 piece with a chance to upgrade, which includes azerite pieces.
-Complains essentially that it takes too long to get conquest per week, even though this week for example, you can get 150 per day just doing random bgs +brawl.
I think that “holds water” for someone that wants things but doesn’t want to do what it takes to get them, and would rather moan about the disparity and say “my life is too busy to spend time on the game”.
Yo can I plz get gear just for logging in, not just gear but bis.
My sub cost just as much as that mythic raider and I believe I should get it.
I’ve been 120 for a month on this toon. Granted I’m only 351 but I have np in randoms. Didn’t have them as a fresh 120 either, even when solo queuing.
damage = a*(Target HP)
where 0.0 < a <1.0
not
damage = b
where b = atk_power * modifers
In the past , damage was a flat constant with NO scaling to the target 's HP .
There’s a big difference between hitting for a flat 50k and 20% * (Target HP) cause 20% of your a fresh 120 will most likely be less. e.g
0.20 * 80K < 50k
if a fresh 120 comes in with 80K hp.
Conclusion, gear does matter but not to a point where you can’t queue for random BGs and help out. Have a system where casuals die in 1 hit OR die slower and by the sounds of it the OP wants the old system back , well done, i’m sure blizzard wants to lose more player base and keep the game to elites .
If you want to play the old system , go back to classic .
What is this and why did you waste my time reading it.
