so its ok if your in demand so a dps could never change spec cause they are a dime a dozen in your mind. would not be able to tank cause they wouldn’t dodge if not one shot.
I’m saying a lot of groups are willing to make some comprises for in demand roles. That people would rather run the dungeon with perhaps a slightly worse chance at loot than not run one at all.
I’m not really interested in arguing whether or not that’s fair, if that’s what your touching on. I’m letting you know about some legitimate options you have to get the loot you would like.
That said, DPS are free to do the same thing. I think they’ll just have a little more trouble getting a group of people to consent to it–still far from impossible.
i agree letting people know ahead of time is very helpfull have done this in the past but most people dont read chat and i still end up with people raging at me
If you don’t receive confirmation, say it again. You can shoot a whisper or two. If still no one confirms and you’re nervous take a screen shot. If they get mad after that, I wouldn’t hesitate to say, “I said I was rolling on loot for this role at the beginning of the dungeon several times.” That’s all you can do. That’s of means of communication that’s available to you.
lmao all this has happened to me so to say this is not reality makes 0 sense cause as far as i know i’m real? this is not a once off i seen it happen if not to me to other groups i have done many around the worlds with people who have also had this happen to them??
I always announce, whether I’m tanking or healing, at the beginning of a party what I intend to roll on. If you aren’t happy with that, I’m willing to tank or heal the next group waiting for a heal or tank.
If you are going to roll on pieces that are not what your role is at the time, just announce it. I have never been kicked from a group doing that. I may have gotten some grumbles but more often than not they just go with it. Some tanks and healers legitimately do not heal or tank their main or split raids and need this gear as well.
Yeah no one wants to point out the very obvious benefit that no RDF allows. I can control to ensure this situation becomes less and less common. Outside of that these forum trolls literally cherry pick a handful of situations and apply it generally “Oh I thought this NEVER happened XD” no, no ones ever said that ever.

honestly completely different community then it was back then. back in og you can call someone names and wouldnt get banned i used to come to wow chat to find out what was going on . what we have now is a watered down version with extra issues like calling someone a female character -_- my bad i mean type 2. god forbid someone types a emote that says a virtual character spit on another virtual characters im so offended (gen-z the offended generation) . in og you got offended for offensive things
No, it isn’t, which is why people aren’t getting reported or banned for it. It’s also not against the rules to change the loot rules when someone refuses to follow etiquette, or even to kick them from the party for arguing about it.
