Welcome to pugging. It sucks, but it is what it is. I recommend doing runs with guildies instead if that kind of behaviour bothers you too much.

Some people do heroics to get gear for an offspec. Not sure how you rationalize ânever take gear that will help you do a new jobâ but also ânever do a role you have no gear forâ.

You know just attacking people, thinking youâre the greatest thing alive is a bad move for someone that clearly is losing this argument. How many people agree with you? 1? 2? Nobody cares in Wrath. And to sit there and call me a ninja? I rarely even roll on upgrades for my own spec and have never rolled offspec as I donât even have an off spec. Take your insults, go back to your nonsensical world of master looting dungeon items and get over it. If youâre not losing loot, why are you on here? I have been in a total of 1 group where someone had a problem with an off spec rolling without asking, and thatâs because they needed and then disenchanted an item 3 people rolled need on. OTher than that, itâs dungeon loot. I cleared 25 naxx with 3 pieces of level 70 gear still on, so news flash, that gear youâre so adamantly defending, itâs not that big of a deal. How is a tank supposed to get gear? Go in a dungeon in all dps gear so theyâre allowed to roll on tank gear? Youâre taking a 20 year old expansion way too seriously and none if it is even remotely difficult. You can sit here and act like this is some huge problem but itâs not. Youâre the first person Iâve even seen complain on the forums which is nothing but complaining. Hereâs a thought, play your game your way and leave it at that. Donât come on here throwing idiotic insults at people just for the sake of arguing. Hence calling me a ninja when I never ever said I looted off spec. I was an exception there really. I went in full pvp fit, so its gear useless to me. So if I got hitsâŚroll for it. OR Iâd estalk and just go dude your gear hurts my eyes to look at it. take this, put in on now. so I opened up a few trade windows not even asked lol.

Never in my parties, but I have heard peoppe ninja loot a lot. Thatâs why I only bring Guildies or non-plate wearers (in my instance) when Iâm searching for a specific piece. Of course Iâm guilty of being âelitistâ or reserving gear by doing that, but whatever, my party, my rules.
Question is, what is ninja looting, and wat is an inappropriate roll.
Just yesterday i got invited into a nexus hc group with my 2nd pally- I enlisted as DPS and Tank.
I got asked to tank, so i did that.
Endboss dropped the melee dps trinket, i needrolled it and won against the ret paladin in the group.
Was it wrong to roll on it ?

First and foremost, i went nexus hc cause i needed the trinket.
I was listed as dps and tank, and tanked because i was asked to do.
I dont even think that this is elitist. If you really want a specific item without anyone else, either make a locked run, or build a group where no one else can use it, in any spec.
Obviously, that only really works as either Heal or Tank, otherwise you always will have a player that might want âyourâ gear - as a caster dps the heal might want the gear, as a meele dps the tank might want it.
This is why first and foremost I always try to get a guild run going, otherwise I try to be as selective as I can. Ultimately if someone loots off-spec or just to be a jerk, that just comes with the territory and the easiest thing to do is move on. Not gonna cry over Heroic gear, especially with how mind numbingly easy the content currently is.
I think most people understand that the default loot setting in a pug group is MS/OS need over greed. Iâve very seldom experienced the OPâs problem. I havenât had any issues with MS and OS rollers butting heads yet this expac. If someone wants to roll on items different from the role they play in the group, they need to negotiate that with the group before the dungeon starts.
I donât think itâs ever a bad idea to simply say MS/OS need over greed, if youâre going to pug. It denies people the opportunity to be ignorant or feign ignorance about community expectations, or to do that kind of ârationalizingâ about what loot they should be allowed to roll on.

join a group as dps get kicked cause my dps is bloody horrible cause im mostly in holy gear tank dies a few times cause healers on YouTube most the time we wipe healer gets mad and blames the dps looks at chart my dps is bad i get kicked no gear.

join a group as heals make sure group fully clears cause i know i will be able to heal through roll on a dps piece for my os dps rages i get kicked for being a ninja

In my experience, healer is the most in demand role right now. You can probably just message a group leader and offer to heal, but say you would like to roll on DPS gear. Or, you can start your own group and simply say the same thing to the group before you head to the dungeon.
So long as everyone knows whatâs going on before the dungeon begins and they agree to go, there isnât going to be a problem.

If you want to DPS, I would quickly do some quests/get some rep gear to build out a ret setâyou know stuff thatâs around level 78. Putting in the effort to execute your rotation will probably be more than enough to pull your weight in appropriate gear.

so its ok if your in demand so a dps could never change spec cause they are a dime a dozen in your mind. would not be able to tank cause they wouldnât dodge if not one shot.
i agree letting people know ahead of time is very helpfull have done this in the past but most people dont read chat and i still end up with people raging at me.
example my last group was for VH when i invited the dude i said VH has no stone you need to come to dal. 5 minutes later he asked for a summon. when i told him i couldnt he left.
