What's with all the entitled mages in BGs?

My rogue? I’m talking about your activity, you have “muted” multiple people that you dont align with in conversation. So it seems like your bailout.

Edit: Oh you think I’m that rogue you muted in your logs haha

Most of the time its better to walk way from a heated discussion instead of continuing and risk being moderated. So I will gladly mute/ignore anybody that gets rude with me if it keeps me from getting flagged.

So you are a fangirl? Do you want my autograph?

Guess you must have quite a list then. But carry on, I’m a warlock and think cookies should be given to all. Just seen you fired up on certain topics and seen you mention muting people quite a bit which I dont agree with. Better to have a conversation then stay in your echo chamber.

That’s fired up? Wow

I am pretty generous with people, but I will not suffer a troll or someone who is just trying to be rude af.

You want to dig through my posts for whatever reason and you are purposefully ignoring the vast majority of my posts that are highly diplomatic with people that I do not agree with. You must really like me if my posts have motivated you into finally seeking a discussion on this board. I’m glad that I was your first topic.

Most mages are really weird about clicking a button, like we’re asking them to go so far out of their way by doing so, but some are cool.

I guess I’m curious about where the line is drawn. In vanilla classic mages charge for food/water and ports and that was normal. Then people expect that type of service to be free if in a dungeon group, and now discussion about free for a bg. If you queued in and there was no mage in the raid or group, arent you supposed to have your own food/water?

Its amazing how dense people are being over this subject. Its not that people don’t buy food and water, its that the vendor food and water costs 2g a stack at level 70. It makes no sense to argue that a mage shouldn’t be bothered to summon a table for 2 silver and demand everyone to stop expecting a table so they don’t have to burn through a stack of vendor food every battleground.

Before mages had to manually summon each stack, which is why they got tipped more for going through the effort. Now they have it 1,000 times easier and just have to click a button to create food for the whole group with one gcd and they are being stingy with it.

Is this directed at me? You could have just stated your thoughts without calling people dense for asking a question.

I’m sorry, but it was the most polite way of addressing the notion that people don’t know how to buy food and water for battlegrounds.

I get asked for Wild buff too. And spend the reagent to cast it on everyone fast enough. It’s not that hard.

While yes, you are, a mage then putting down a table, saves everyone else in the group significant amounts of money for 20s. It costs more as a druid to buff 2 groups with Gift of the Wild and more than twice as much just to use Rebirth on the mage.

The expectation that “people shouldn’t bother the mage” is the equivalent of the mage not wanting buffs from anyone else too.

20s per game is an insignificant cost compared to the value of improvement for the group. And we all have costs to cover to make a battleground work.

A lot of you are missing the point that the OP should have come prepared and not had to rely on others to provide these things.

You’re missing the point that many mages are not using their intended group utility in group content. Whether or not I personally had my own food with me is irrelevant.

Coming from a rogue doesnt mean much.

Mages buff also. Also I cant count the number of times a druid has battle resed me in a bg.

… because its zero times.

Why are you expecting a battle rez in a BG when the GY is just a short distance away? Too lazy to rez as well as drop a table?
