If you do these things then you are doing your job as a mage and this thread isn’t directed at you.
Must be Alliance issue.
gnomes are cheap.
Horde always drop tables. Undead and Trolls are givers.
that’s the only use mages have in bgs. drop a table so i can dip and go farm
Good point, goblin mages aren’t until Cata.
I left blood elves out of this because… your gold is welcome here.
Lol i always have food and water, and it costs more than the reagent for a mage table.
Could you then please link the thread in this forum where you tell other rogues to provide services free of charge, and then vehemently disagree with everyone in that thread who disagrees with you? Because, as you said,
that thread must already exist and have been created prior to my earlier comment.
Paladins, priests and druids use reagents for their buffs. Why is it that mages think they’re entitled to not drop a table to help out the people healing/flag carrying for you?
I always carry extra water in my bags for healers and mage food/drink into other BGs to help out.
Those with the most privilege are always the most entitled.
What’s a rogue’s expectation? Run around and pretend to be a ninja?
Hey, tell me more about my expectations shadows. I really don’t want to let you down lol
Just because something is tradeable doesn’t mean you are entitled to it. As an alchemist I can trade my pots to others on my realm but that doesn’t mean it’s my job to.
It is your responsibility to come prepared.
It honestly makes no sense.
I play a warlock so I soul stone, soul well and give out stones on demand. I also carry extra mage biscuits to give to healers and use my own personal food/bandages because a healer or hardcore dps getting those biscuits/items makes the BG better.
Not once have I heard of a priest, pally or druid crying about reagents for their buffs.
There are also options similar such as if they don’t give water they don’t get heals. That this is something I’ve seen before from other healers although wouldn’t do it and I bring my own water etc and don’t even ask for mage water. I don’t think this is the right thing to do to help the team but the thought is if one player is being selfish well…
I don’t think that mages HAVE TO put down a mage table, hell maybe they can’t yet, so that part is up to them. On the other hand, I tend to do what I can to help my team, and I’ve used many reagents in BGs, so I can’t imagine why I wouldn’t put down a table if I was playing a mage and it had even a 1% chance to help my team shrug. I’m a team player who prefers to win.
Agreed. Warlocks are usually good about dropping a soul well, and I often get buffs from those other classes.
So, you’re saying that you are entitled to their table? Irony …
It’s part of their class utility. If they aren’t willing to use it then they shouldn’t be doing group content.
It’s because you’re alliance. Look around on the forums… Alliance players aren’t exactly sharp.
Ok I’ll start charging people for healthstones and soulstones. Because my group utilities are obviously meant to be leverage for increasing my bank stack.
Bottom line not making a table hurts the team and costs 20 silver. If you can’t cover the costs you’re a lost cause.
Regarding “you’re not entitled to a table”. That is literally the point of the table so that’s not an excuse. Shouldn’t expect heals if you can’t toss a table down.
It seems the people who don’t want to buff the team or provide a 20 silver table /soul well are just selfish people. Maybe selfish people just gravitate toward mages
Makes sense. Mages are always the ones who nuke entire zones AOE farming and making questing difficult for everyone else. It figures they wouldn’t want to drop a table either. I’m glad you are an exception.
