This server was nearly 50/50 for a very long time and now is trending 46/50 in favor of the Horde. While a 4% drift may not seem like much, these kinds of shifts can, and often do, snowball into major imbalance. Looking at WoWLogs, far more guilds on Horde side are clearing ICC, which likely counts for why there’s been a shift.
What that doesn’t tell us is why is the Alliance not raiding as much?
Grobbulus was the last balanced Wrath server which you could get wpvp. Not so much anymore.
What do you mean what happened? Grobb has been slightly skewed one way or the other from the very beginning, and has been Horde skewed since at least the start of Wrath
Also, most population trackers only track raid logs. I wouldn’t be surprised if more than a few humans - I mean, Alliance, were exclusive PvPers in Wrath
The population is starting to shrink due to being forced into Cata Classic, if they confirm a Wrath Era for us then the numbers will go back to being 50/50.
It was 60A / 40H for the longest time and didn’t tilt.
Most raiders went horde for the racials, there’s your logs.
While most pvp enjoyers are alliance for those racials.
Theyve been doomposting about grob since all their “PvP” servers died.
It used to be 62/38 at its worst descrepancy and at that time you could actually feel it as ally pretty much won every spirit tower fight with sure force of people. Horde had to like spam rally every major guild to get spirit tower wins in early TBCC.
One thing about the day 1 grobb community and even many of the folks who came here later is we actually care about our server. Plenty of ally reached out and made posts and brought awareness to the balance and the horde would do the same if the ally were in that sitation.
That’s the culture that seperates RP-PvP from PvP.
