What's the purpose of restored coffer keys?

I don’t mind having to go do open world content to get keys, Delves are the end piece component of the open world system, so that has synergy to me. My only real issue is the quantity gating. Make it possible to earn more keys. And yes, I know the echoes and some of the world quests offer the key pieces you can combine, but it is at most an extra 2-3 keys a week. When it takes 8 delves to fully fill out your vault, we should be able to have 8 keys a week, IMO.

Being forced to do delves without a key just to fill out the vault feels like the old “hot dogs and hot dog buns” debacle.

The point of a key is to get gear out of the bountiful chest.
If you run an 8 you get a champion piece.

Without the key all you are doing is filling the vault.

Because some people have limited play time. I only have a 2-3 hours to play each day on the weekends and getting 4 keys takes a chunk, effectively limiting how many delves I can do on each toon if I’m doing alts. Granted it also nets 4-5k gold doing them so it can be nice income. I personally don’t mind doing them but I can see how someone sees them as a chore. :hear_no_evil::see_no_evil::speak_no_evil:

Gated content - so you have to spend months to progress gear-wise, and thus keep a sub up for months.

Or just realize the vault is basically a scratcher ticket and running four more delves just for an additional chance at something that isn’t another crappy trinket, bad stated ring, or duplicate cloak is a waste of time.
