Which is the hardest to kill. The one that doesnt die easy and can survive things like DKs etc?
Depends on the team you’re playing with.
Usually i just play randoms. And people often do not protect or peel for the healer . Main reason why im trying to find one self sufficient and can survive best without peels.
if you’re good at running away, and good at avoiding damage naturally, then resto druid will amplify that
Thanks Cezar
welcome, I know the struggle of BG healing all too well.
If you’re in a BG team, and they’re hyper organized, then Pala is really really strong, so is resto sham and disc priest.
The better the friendly CC the better shaman and Pala get,.
From what i’ve seen, a good druid is pretty hard to kill with his powerfull hots, mobility as cat and tankiness as bear - a good druid, who knows when to hot himself and switch into catform and run / switch into bearform and tank until the team gives him some time to breath, is pretty hard to kill.
Personally i like playing disc, great mobility (although obviously not as fast as cat druid) due to lots of the toolkit being instants and the kit making him a great bodyguard for flagcarriers (the shield absorbs 22k+ damage, reflects 40% and heals for 20% of the absorbed damage, renew, pom, aoe fear, dispell - dispell is great to remove roots / nova / fear / poly … from the fc) in addition to powerfull hardcast healing spells and mass dispell (big area of effect, glyphed 0.5 sec casttime, removes even pala bubble).
Survivability in 1v1 as a disc is good, at least once you get some pvp gear (although i dont think a druid who plays the “catch me if you can” game well has to rely as mutch on gear).
Once you get ganged on by the enemy team and chain feared / stunned / silenced it is over unless you have a good team, since all the nice oh-sh!t-buttons do nothing for you if you cant press them, but i guess the same is true for every healer.
When we are talking about about pure survivability, druid would be my favorite.
If good survivability and a great toolkit (especially as fc bodyguard) is good enough, disc priest would be my choice.
Can’t say much about paladins and shamans, never played them in pvp.
Yeah… if you are looking for survivability… it’s not Rdruid. Rdruid lost all of it’s defensive talents in cata and is the squishiest healer currently. lost its 12% damage reduction, lost 200% armor, and honestly hot healing really just kinda sucks right now. Maybe it will scale better in later seasons? Outside of treeform (3 minute cooldown) druid is paper thin and their healing is sub par.
Maybe Holy Pally. You got Armor, Bubble they seem sturdy as Resil goes up.
Resto druids are the hardest because none exist for you to kill.
The only healer I gave up on and let go was a disc priest, it was ridiculous.
I think you want to go hpally or disc to be honest for random bg.
They have the toolkits to do well solo. You play with the expectation that no peels are coming so, those two classes can keep you alive.
Rdruid has been stripped of alot of what made them uber in wrath as someone else mentioned. Rsham has to be protected, they just dont have a strong pvp kit to stay alive.
If we’re talking about BG pugs, all the healers are powerful imo. It’ll take at least two people to take out a skilled and geared healer. Soloing some healers, depending on your class is nearly impossible.
can second that, resto druids are insanely slippery and can get into tactical positions through stealth and wait out alpha attacks plus once hotted up even stun combos wont take you down. You just need to learn to predict healing needs cuz druids aint so hot with direct emergancy heals (not like paladins anyway)
Yup, its IMO best class healer in game, but takes some brains to make it work.
