legit never seen one before on all the servers ive played. not a fan either. not saying its the worst thing i just find it a tad unfair at times. used dkp systems all throughout my experiences so loot counsel is new to me. and im not a fan xD anyone have any thoughts on this?
If they are using loot council for things like epics (Eye, etc.) itâs to ensure it goes to someone they feel will be the best suited to help the guild in the long term, in other words not someone whos gonna guild jump shortly afterwards, or quit the game.
Otherwise most loot doesnât need this type of control.
Loot council is for tryharding progression content.
Classic is 15 year old puggable content. Anyone running loot council should be a giant red flag to avoid that guild.
Not necessarily, you are thinking in the narrow scope of ALL loot.
i like loot councils, i have questionable morals so ive always been able to âconvinceâ the council to give me loot.
i mean i was in a dkp guild and we never had issues like that. my opinion is if u like a guild enough and theyre fair enough to u why would u leave?
A good loot council only councils Tank an Heal gear and only for the first month or so in a new released raid, except for your tank, if they ar loot counceling dps gear then run far run fast
people have a habbit of gearing up and dropping off the face of the earth or leaving the guild over stupid petty crap. So loot council gives loot to people who arenât going to bail.
Loot councils were so toxic for the game and community that Blizzard took the step of putting in forced personal loot to get rid of them. That should tell you something.
its a scam imo but thats just me. i left a guild after i found out they were loot counsel on my main tbh
my guild uses dkp for everything except the bindings , even the eye went for dkp
loot council is fine from what I see. Just ensures the wrong class/spec doesnât get gear that means more to somebody else.
and it can used to moderate gear distribution. Like you won 2 rolls youâre good for the night.
u could also fall under the fact that some loot counsel guilds are all a bunch of irl friends that want to gear their pals and themselves up b4 any1 else. it can go both ways
It all comes down to how you feel about a guild and itâs leadership. If you trust your guilds leadership, loot council can be great. If you donât trust them, then look for a guild you do trust, or look for a dkp guild.
Lots of guilds are doing a pseudo loot council / /roll approach in classic. Instead of just handing out loot as the council says, they have a council that picks players/classes to roll off loot. Say azuresong mageblade drops, every caster in the raid might want it, but itâs BiS for warlocks and holy/prot paladins. So instead of just handing it out to anyone, theyâll say âwarlocks and paladins roll.â Or if perditions blade drops, instead of letting everyone roll the council will say something like rogues x and y havenât had an upgrade in a while, they can roll, the rest of the rogues donât roll.
Again it comes down to trust. If you donât trust the people running your guilds loot council, then you donât trust the system.
Whatâs the deal with airline food?
Council, not counsel. Weâre not talking about seeking advice about loot.
Loot council is the optimal way to distribute loot. It maximizes efficiency. The only drawback is everyone must know each other very well.
It was actually pretty good when I was flying in Scandanavia
People who donât like loot council are almost always the ones that are putting in less effort. Loot council is the ONLY way to distribute gear based upon performance and effort. Itâs not like yer getting deducted âDKPâ if you get outhealed 2 to 1 by the healer whos actually trying and using consumes. Therin lies the problem.
Geez, back in the 80s, even domestic airlines were pretty decent. Flying on Luftansa was amazing.
