is there a way to convert valor/the higher-tier currencies (conquest) to honor or justice to buy heirlooms?

I wish we could just buy all the heirlooms with gold.

Why TF do they cost justice points?

You should be able to convert any higher currency down to justice AFAIK.

You can do Twilights and buy the JP token, 10 frags for 250 JP

If you have decent gear, Twilight Protocol dungeons are the best place to farm JP. You get 83 per boss and you can convert the frags into more JP. Just expect a lot of painful groups and dungeon lockouts this close to MoP. The queue times are crazy short right now even for DPS at least.
