Some classes aren’t viable lol, you can’t go Ele sham for example cause no one will ever group with you in PvE despite being S tier in PvP.

Some specs might not be desirable, but every class has multiple specs to choose from.
Also, Mage is probably a good class for your requirements.
imo Shaman isn’t a viable class for anything PvE, everything can do what they do but better. In PvP, def top dog with Ele but even then it’s kinda like you can only enjoy one aspect of the game.
Druid is gonna be in the same category.
My first LK kill was on a druid, specc’ed balance at the time.
That was over a decade again so not exactly relevant anymore, it’s not meta in the solved version of WoTLK we’re getting.

Yeah, but we also mostly have data from Private Servers, which is not the same codebase as Blizzard actually has, so our best guesses right now are based on whatever people coded based on their memories and whatever data was available to them on the Internet.
We’ll see how things actually play out.
Well there’s a lot of trusted sources that have played old WoTLK + Pservers who have some very similar lists, they all say Feral is B tier at most.
It’s cool, if your crits land it works but it’s too dependent on RNG and small mistakes means huge DPS loss vs. classes that can just mongo out fat DPS constantly.
Again, it’s private servers. That’s a roll-your-own codebase; not Blizzard’s code.
Of course, we have some idea based on videos, log-data, archives of old theorycrafting sites like EJ, etc. and there may be some pretty reasonable guesses, but we’ll see how things actually end up playing out.

balance druid is still great for 10man icc hc specially LK, but anyway
with practice every class can be easy to use.
