Cut Scenes and load screens 14… it’s not bad. Just not for me. Many of my issues with SL already exist there, seems silly to quit for one for the other at this point. On the rails in what should feel like an open world are killing them both for open world play. At least wow has (IMO) a better dungeon experience + ok PvP.

I like the dungeon bosses of FFXIV better, but WoW has the better dungeon set ups. FFXIV dungeons are 4 packs boss, 4 packs, boss, 4 packs, boss, so they start to feel the same after while where WoW at least has variance in the amount of trash between bosses and number of bosses.

I have been. But its not the same. Almost everyone is happy, and frankly its not that entertaining. Anything even remotely construed as toxic or negative as immediately struck down.

So it’s not as entertaining when players aren’t constantly bashing the game? This pretty much sums up most of the players who bash WoW on the forum constantly, it’s fun to them. When people mention the outrage crowd, this is exactly what they’re talking about. lol

What’s stopping me?
Well, first off, the incessant pushing of it here, on the WoW forums. People that would spam WoW forums about FFXIV are not people I probably want to play with, and they make me lose ANY interest I would have in FFXIV.
Secondly, I don’t like the artistic stylings that I’ve seen in the FF franchise.
Thirdly, and finally, I enjoy playing WoW.

Same. And it looks really washed out on the colors. I remember in ESO I had to get one of those ENB SweetFX reshaders to make it not look like 50 Shades of Gray: the Game. This looks to be the same deal.
Plus the races I’d actually want to play can’t even wear hats or change face/hair without paying $$$. Pfff. No thanks. Why be a second class player in a MMO I can’t mod when I can reload some old game like Morrowind and mod in whatever kinda race, faces, and hats I want. At the end of the day I’m gonna be playing alone so why not play an actual single player game?
This is true of all ‘oh-so friendly’ communities. They’re not nicer, they’re just better at being fake.
I’ve seen it happen, since I am not a fan of the fan favorite character this expac, for the same reasons I am not a fan of Sylvanas. And you know, it always feels a lot more like walking on eggshells than a “great community”, by any stretch.
“Happy” =/= toeing the line or else be ostracized.

Game looks boring (visual and gameplay) and feels like cheap asian-animeish fantasy. Random furry ears and stuff. As someone previously stated, this intersection between realism and anime is just so weird and unpleasant to look at.
I mean, WoW has dumb stuff too (gnomes, goblins, etc), but at least it makes fun of itself and makes it clear that those elements are made mainly for comedy… while FF makes everything look edgy and dramatic. Kinda cringe for me.
Also, too much time spent on dumb cutscenes.
And the main one: annoying community made of people spamming about their game. Feels like half of their community is made of current WoW haters and refugees complaining all the time.

Yep I’m a Salt Lord, but least I ain’t shilling on the WoW forums about a game that’s a side-grade at best. Like Jesus how many more of these threads do we need every day.

Art style, lack of playable dwarves, and elf giraffe hybrids . . . also a lack of familiarity with the setting.
Trolls. It appears to be the current fad to get a rise out of people here.

For the same reason wow spam is on every other forum for any other mmo during their heyday.
It’s nothing different than what we have done.
Because it’s trolls who know the mere mention of FFXIV in a thread or title triggers people like yourself and gets a response, EVERY time.
Just look at the comments in this thread. Every single troll who just enjoys irking people can see bright as day that FFXIV is the easiest trigger on these forums.
You guys bite the bait too easily when it’s FFXIV and the trolls can sense it.

Really cause when I checked to see if FF14 had it’s own forums (it does) there was no spam of WoW topics there so only reason I can see this advertisement garbage here is that they are paying you.
Nothing, i’m playing it when new content comes. My screenshot folder has about 400 pics from cool moments and bossfights.
