You may be right, but the reality is a lot of people are playing what they DONT want because they dont know any better. I know this is true because I was in that position not too long ago.

Nothing stopping me. I hopped into WOW for TBC, figured id see all the raving reviews of how SL turned out since i bailed at launch, given how positive things were then. Seeing its as bad as it was in BFA though.
So once my itch progressing in TBC is scratched, ill probably fire up FFXIV and clean up SL expansion content to get ready for endwalkers.
That or ill get my world questing jollies in ESO.

Or because theyâve tried the other options and its not a good fit. I have know a few people who are getting burnt out of WoW and 14 is just not for them. Iâve tried almost every MMO after they release and WoW is the only one that keeps me logging in regularly.

100% agree. Thereâs a whole bunch of people praising some game that they donât seem to be playing. If they truly enjoyed it more than this âsubparâ game here they wouldnât spend so much time on this forum. One would have to be foolish to take those posters half serious. lol
Tried it years ago⌠Didnât like it. Spent a few hours running around a city asking stupid questions and couldnât even leave to play the game. It bored me like Final Fantasy 10 did.
WOW is probably the last MMO that I will ever play.

Iâm guessing limitations due to supporting theâŚPS3 was it? I doubt they support it anymore, but either built into the engine now or they canât be bothered to change it. I remember being hyper-annoyed at multiple loading screens in the same city. That was just ugh.
I will say, FFXIV community is only better on the surface, there is a much harder community push for optics than here with wow. I assure you, that friendly dungeon expert your with is calling you a r-tard to his buddies and everyone knows everyones DPS and judges accordinglyâŚjust like wow.
Say something that would get downvoted on reddit to the FFXIV community and watch them rip your head off like your CATA neckbeard guild leader who use to scream at people.

Youâre probably right. I think if they could change it they would, but that would require remaking a lot of the game from the ground up.
Never said it was for everyone, but there is certainly a type that would be much happier there. Some just need a little push to let go of something thats likely been a part of their lives for a very long time.
Whatâs stopping me? Idk the desire to play a game thatâs not overhyped, doesnât have generic unthought out combat, and a massive boring grind to get to an endgame thatâs mediocre.
The issue there is the constant posts and exaltation of 14 will push some of those same people away. Talking about it once in awhile sure but thereâs a guaranteed 3 posts a day so far about 14. Some of those posts trying to make it sound like 14 doesnât have issues and leaving out the length of time youâll spend to get to a point where combat feels better.

I think I personally may have taken things too far the past few days. My sub runs out soon so I think Im going to walk away. If people want to play FFXIV or WoW or something else or nothing at all they will figure it out.
