Same. While I like WoW’s UI the market board from FF14 just feels better.

I imagine this FFXIV kick people are on is the new “hOw Is IT TrolLing?”. Take a topic you know gets the forums riled up, ask a question in a genuine fashion and let the forum users go at each other

Yup i have. And i was bored of it after 4 hours in tbh.
Me personally, literally any other game that is more entertaining then FF14 or Final Fantasy anything at this point.

I hate the combat system which makes the game a deal breaker for me. Long global cooldowns, clunky abilities, boring mobs, boring battles. Just hate every thing about it.
I don’t care for the graphics, map layout, zone structures, having to load into a new area every minute or two.
Just hate every thing about it and I’m a HUGE Final Fantasy fan.

Why would I return to a game that I didn’t enjoy the first time around?
I mean, that’s kind of the thing. If you play FFXIV expecting it to be WoW, you’re not going to like it. If you engage with it on it’s own terms, I think it’s a fun experience.
I mean, it has pvp, but the pvp is hot garbage at best.
I’ll agree to that. Having to use retainers to post things on the MB gets annoying when I just want to run up to the MB and sell some things.
Once you get high enough level every job gets things to weave between the GCD and it makes the combat feel very fluid and fast paced, but it does feel kind of slow at low levels.
Did you get past level 10? And let’s be fair here, the mobs in WoW aren’t exactly exciting either. And we’ll have to agree to disagree as I think FFXIV has excellent boss battles.

I’ve tried to try the Free Trial, but it wants me to pay for a code. I can’t get the FREE Trial to work for FREE.
The fact that WoW’s endgame is far superior to FF 14.
If I wanted the journey, I have WoW Classic which has a way better RPG experience and immersion in the world compared to FF 14’s Loading Screen merry go round.

I’m super casual. I play three different MMOs. FFXIV is one of them.
I wonder about the eyesight of people that claim a newer MMO has worse graphics than WoW. I can only guess they haven’t actually played the MMO they are criticizing. I can understand not liking an art style. To each their own. But WoW has a super blocky art style that while it has aged ok, does not make it the best looking MMO out there, even on Max graphics settings. It looks old because it is old.
The only thing preventing me is that I have to go to work in like half an hour.

I have absolutely zero interest in FF. Looks pretty. I like the cinematic of the first game ending. But after giving it a shot, the game itself doesn’t appeal to me in any way.

I’m sure it’s a nice game for those who want to live in an anime fantasy setting but in all honesty it isn’t my cup of tea. That being said I was rock’n it on my Sith sorcerer last night in dyed bell bottom pants in a That 70’s SWTOR episode.
