Whats happened to horde?

I’m not sure about the communication issue / language barrier; it hadn’t occurred to me. Most of what I see in randoms if fairly neutral to helpful. Incoming calls, EFC calls, etc. Some ranting if the game is going particularly badly, but not too much. Perhaps less talk now than in previous years, but dunno.

Horde does seem to have it rougher currently. To me, it often seems that Allies are just more organized and/or purposeful in their random BG play; more geared or grouped folks, higher avg experience level, etc. If so, perhaps the aforementioned migration influenced this.

Epics I tend to avoid, so no idea how Horde is doing there.

All the Alliance rerolls who thought the faction was carrying caused this.

i do agree with this, but it’s also important to not just have that canned response to people venting. things will definitely never get better if the only players left are the players telling people to go play another game. the playerbase will only continue to shrink.

people experiencing frustration with any game could often benefit from breaks, but WoW doesn’t have to be another, “if u dont like it den leave” game. the only reason it’s in the state it’s in now is because blizzard has failed the pvpers and it’s in our hands to make the best of what’s left. and what’s left is garbage (relative to other expansions/seasons). it’s important to not get threads locked & deleted for this reason. imagine going to the forum to see if you’re out of your mind and if any other players feel the same, and you don’t see any of the threads discussing that because premade communities managed to scrub the posts out of existence; whether intentional or not. they will literally just roll up in those threads and be so butthurt that pugs don’t like getting steamrolled they will absolutely bomb the thread with inflammatory, useless chatter that boils down to “u mad u bad” when that is not the case at all.

Idk if it’s venting if it’s an everyday rant for a month now

I feel too many people wait way to long to take a break

Agree with the epic communities stuff tho though, that stuff is getting way out of control

it takes time to come to terms with things… just offer to hold them.

Probably tired of this garbage game.

Do you want me to hold you dogwood

EDIT:

ITS NOT WORKING

i can’t believe i was wrong this whole time. why were they letting me hold them? they wanted to touch my bobos?

Don’t it’s a trap! That’s how she lures you in and then your in her discord talking about how hunters should be nerfed and posting cat gifs. There’s no escape

Theres a ping system for that

that’s usually me wym

I tried to suggest this and was met with a lot of resistance.

Keeping people segregated by (preferred communication language) is short sighted. The game is already so low in population, and many shards/servers already struggle to feel lively just looking around you.

Imagine how much worse the queues would be if you split up players by language preference… the ping system is right there.

I don’t think language is an issue in most randoms anyway. Most of the communication you see is very basic, minimal and universally understood.

Ping system imo is one of the few things blizzard has done recently that is a major improvement on the game.

I am certain we all can draw realistic conclusions as to what the pings mean, because they’re dynamic and the things we are pinging in battlegrounds have been the same map objectives since the maps came out. I’m counting who to kill first as an objective in this sense too. It’s always been the play to kill or cc healers. So if I ping a healer and someone ccs or kills it, I’m fine with either outcome.

Ping system is in itself the universal language of combat communication. Beyond that, it allows players to focus on gameplay and less on typing.

Ok you all be good. I gotta go to work now. Bakers gotta bake!

This was and is true for alliance as well. (I don’t know if they’re any better in regular BGs since i don’t play regular BGs much these days.)

Lately i have seen some truly toxic players in horde epic BGs that get angry and lash out even when we’re winning. But i always forget to check if they’re mercs.

Agree. If anything, one factor is voice comms vs. none (assuming equal groups). I tend to think people who play UNRATED BGs and ‘need’ to use voice comms - and/or look down on those who don’t - are doing it wrong.

As far as I can see, Horde are doing just fine and dominate Epic BG’s most of the time in my experience.

It doesn’t hurt to have google translate up, and some prepared macros to ask for crusader aura. I’ve worked a little bit of simplified chinese into macros, for some accessibility with late night queues. “aura de cruzado por favor” should probably work for both spanish and portuguese.

As someone who went through such a catastrophically mishandled expansion in terms of Horde favortism, so much so I had to outright quit BFA and retail altogether and go to Classic, good.

Absolutely good. I truly never would have thought I’d see the time when this happened. Extremely based.

Blizz mods, thanks for restoring this post, that was flagged. <3
