Well some of us try to get along. Even when I disagree with people, I usually want to get past it and find something we can agree on. Nelphy just makes personal attacks with every reply to me. I donât get it.
Iâve been vocal about this since Classic first released. Nostalgia is not a logical, long-term solution. Frankly, itâs just a lazy way to make a quick buck. WoW should have just stuck with one version for everybody to play on, and the resources gone to developing and tuning the others should have been invested into creating a better Community-Dev feedback loop. When we look to how WoW has declined from âThe unequivocal King of MMOsâ, we can see how others copied it at first to succeed, but have done much more towards keeping content relevant (GW2 Horizontal progression, FFXIV roulettes, etcâŚ).
I hope The WorldSoul expansions will see better live service/care, more frequent tuning, and better incentivization⌠But what else can one do but hope, and enjoy what they can for as long as they can?
The post youâre whining about is not a personal anything. Itâs entirely confined to this threadâs topic and the post count your username displays

While I agree plunderstorm is a bit of a gimmick because it ultimately wonât appeal to the majority of wow players. The PvE players feel like there is too much PvP and the PvP players feel like there is too much PvE and randomness to make it a good PvP experience.
But I think SoD has potential. Hopefully, they take what works from there and turn WoW into something it should have been all along.
IMO the biggest issue with PvP and game in general is the lack of healers.
And getting people to heal is clearly no easy task.
I asked my wife I could convince her to play so I could make her my pocket healer. She said she wasnt interested.
Then I asked my wife if she was willing to help me make a pocket healer. She said having a kid to maybe have a healer in 15+ years did not seem like a good reason to have a kid.
Back to LFG I guess
Yea dude, you have a problem. I donât know why you have a beef with me. Youâre constantly making snide comments. Yea. I donât get it. Grow up.
To be fair: The lack of healers in pvp has more to do with how healing plays out right now. In proper 3âs itâs not such a problem, but in RSS and whatever random mode with healer requirements youâll find that healing just isnât that fun without coordination.
Healing in general feels far less impactful other than the obvious healing element especially in random queued pvp. Too much of everything in the game to consider while in the middle of the game like cc/damage/cds/random burst/mobility/anti mobility while trying to chase down your team mates and positioning as well as you can.
I mean, everything about pvpâs current state comes down to poor balance primarily, and beyond that itâs poor systems. Obviously each individualâs malcontent with whatever parts of pvp at the time are going to be varied, but at the end of the day, a well balanced pvp experience makes for far more enjoyment for most folks including new and experienced players.
In the context of shuffle I think itâs more that itâs difficult to push flat ratings and the dps who inhabit the mode are often otherwise unable to convince a healer into playing with them.
Thatâs a totally fair point.
RSS has put quite a bright spotlight on average players on dps classes, and in this context: How they dictate the game flow for the most part for the healer. Obviously not an absolute, but certainly more apparent.
Think of how much you get done in a work day. Thereâs just no way itâs anyoneâs full time job to develop/balance retail PvP. If it is I would seriously like to know how they fill 40 hours a week let alone a single work day.
I will be back at my computer later tonight to properly laugh at this coming from you of all people, you gigantic baby
You are closer to Halleth than you are to me
If only Blitz had half the Developer attention Plunderstorm did Q~Q
AS much as I agree I also think that wow has turned into the largest solo game ever and has lost all touch in it ACTUALLY being an mmo. WOW in general needs a lot of work.
Wow is not close to being that big
I used to enjoy healing still do, but I donât enjoy playing against DHâs and find myself not healing when they are the meta dps. When I have to just spam heals to regular damage it gets annoying for me personally at least.
For pvp, spec balance is a constant mess, those willing to reroll might be inconvenienced more with more volatile tuning changes(more rerolling), but they also benefit more from the constant of there always being a couple specs with reliable one shots, and usually those include specs with other tools for success like 50%MS, Disarm, instant mobility, more CC than the spec average, invisability, ect. Whatever is made to be mathmatically correct will be played, regaurdless of how close to even tuning gets.
For general feeling of combat, everyone with less than above average CC to dish out, including healers, would benefit from CC being reduced. Spending so much time in combat not able to walk or cast is contributing to feels bad moments in pvp. Melee want to make targets stationary, healers want to finish casts without interupts from CC, casters want everyone to stay away from them. CC is a double edged sword and can enable or prevent fun depending on who is using it. But the volume and DRs of CC should be looked at.
Iâm sure theyâll anounce âfocused pvp testingâ 1 week before the next expansion is released.
If we had dev interaction and some more consistent changes a lot of issues would be fixed.
Dad forgot about us being locked in the basement
You must be new.
