To all of those replying to me about my suggestions - keep in mind aoe caps in slands. Hope you dont go pulling 3 packs because content is ‘easy’ only to wipe because you have no way of controlling or even killing that entire pack due to the amount if incoming damage and healer mana running out.
Pull 2 packs. hard cc the mobs over the aoe cap and go to town might just become a playstyle that is more efficient than pull 3 packs, just to wail on your tank (who has a reduced aggro over 8 mobs) needing additional mana for no reason other than ‘big numbers’. Then enjoy additional downtime in between packs.
Imagine the tears if slower calculated pulling was infact more beneficial than chain pulling multiple packs - i know id be ok with dps that arent trying to pull all the trash to the first boss and blow it up.
Well you haven’t even completed all the dungeons at the m0 level so that’s a start. M0 has the exact same mechanics as a +32 so you can practice as much as you need with no sweat there. Maybe not this close to the end of bfa but for SL just throw up your own group with the tag ‘learning group’ early on and get a feel for every single dungeon without trying s key. When that starts to feel easy, put in that +2 in your bags and you’re off.
A +2 isn’t much harder than a 0, an 11 isn’t much harder than a 10, etc. so as you progress completed keys for each dungeon you’ll be naturally adapting. There will be depletes and there will sometimes be toxicity, this is the internet after all.
If none of that sounds like it’s for you then repeat running dungeons is just not your thing and that’s ok too.
I swear, every day the m+ apocalypse rumors get worse and worse. first it was “you only get 1 piece no matter what” now its somehow “you get nothing if you don’t time it”
the BASELINE loot got dropped to 1 piece, which means if you time it, its 1 +1 bonus. just like now where the baseline is 2 pieces +1 for timing.
somehow now people have spun that completely around and are claiming 0 loot unless you time it? that doesn’t even remotely resemble any form of reality.
Traps and side quests are going to make an impact. I pulled 2 big rooms on my pally with ease. When I went to a harder wing you have elite mobs with auras. Can’t pull to many of those.
The idea of M+ is interesting but just having affixes that increase mob and boss health doesn’t scream fun to me. We need more affixes that add interesting mechanics rather than beat my head against the wall fights.
People are complaining that they won’t get decked out in Mythic ready gear in a week. Most probably don’t realize that loot across the board has been reduced.
why would they notice? the people who are complaining the loudest about it are the people who don’t touch raiding anyways. and those people are still gonna get the same 1 piece of mythic gear they do now. in fact they could get geared up even faster due to the ability to choose what piece they get (so hopefully no more 5 weeks of bracers in a row)
if anything the m+ changes end up being a BIGGER nerf to raiding, because a) its gonna be slower for the raiders to get geared up for heroic/mythic, and b) the 3 ilvl reduction means that raiders won’t be able to trade heroic raid gear week 1 which will slow down optimization.
Wait for the mid expac mega dungeon and run it as soon as it releases with at ilvl players. That’s the best you’ll get.
I did it with Kara in Legion and Mechagon in BfA and they were both absolutely amazing. Particularly if you went for their hidden challenges like nightbane and hertz locker.
I do wish they had more dungeon experiences like these tbh.
From a pugging point I agree. Once you get to 15 all of the mythic players come out of the woodwork to get their weekly dungeon done. While they may not be as well versed in perfect dungeon routes, they put out obscene damage numbers relative to the dungeon.
Huh… I distinctly remember graphs breaking into 14 million but since I can’t find it I guess I have to concede on that point.
Regardless, there was still growth in WotLK, even if it was smaller than BC and it still stands that the decline happened in Cata when they re-introduced ridiculously long dungeons.
