What Would You Consider the Last ‘Good’ Expansion?

LoS was not as much of an option in a lot Cata simply because of dungeon design. When the first pull is right next to the zone in there is no LOS option.

except you seem to be the one wrong at every turn. i had no problem in cata dungeons and i’ve pointed out all the flaws in your argument about cc. so it wasn’t a cc problem.
the problem was that people were used to not using cc, just running in, aoeing everything and living.
and all of a sudden they weren’t god anymore and didn’t like it.

show me one dungeon where you had enough casters in the first pull, right inside the entrance where you somehow magically couldn’t deal with it. go ahead. i’ll wait.

I had no problem in Cata dungeons when I pre formed them.

I had a huge problem with them in LFD. And the problem was mostly the group comp that LFD gave me.

sounds like you should help them then. i had no problem with only having 1 cc in cata dungeons.

I did LFD all the time as tank and dps, never had problem with CC issues.

The only issues I ever had with cata dungeons, back when I actually played cata, was people not knowing fight mechanics or just being undergeared and the fights taking too long.

because people were so used to not using cc after wrath they didn’t think to try to use it during cata?
you know how many times i wiped on the first pull of a dungeon in cata and then said “hey guys, instead of running in, let me sap this, or let the mage sheep that, or let my shaman hex this” and we took care of the issue with ease?

the number one thing i wiped too in cata was people NOT wanting to cc.

/shrug the number one thing I wiped to in Cata was groups not having appropriate CC for the dungeon.

That was not a problem in Wrath.

because wrath didn’t need cc. it was aoe tank and spank everything.

Both, I often got groups without appropriate CC.

give me an example. dungeon. pull and group comp.

For Cata? Me tanking, 3 warriors and a shaman healing in say throne of tides. A dungeon which has pulls with two healers and a second ranged DPS and 2 melee.

Bleh I saw LFD groups break on those pulls. Oh and a lot of pats around the area so no aoe fear, oh and a big pat so you are also time restricted.

so a pull of 6 with 2 healers, 2 melee, and 2 ranged.
you have 3 warriors a shaman, and a druid tanking.
root/hex the two melee, kite back to and around the nearest door. in comes the ranged. warriors use a combination of interrupts, and stuns to lockdown the casters and kill them off. healer assists with his interrupt as well. you as well as a druid have stuns. casters dead. if you can’t figure out how to handle the two melee…thats on you.

Pro tip not everyone you meet in LFD is a world first raider and plays perfectly.

oh no i have to talk and coordinate in an MMORPG in order to accomplish something.

sounds more like a failure of the player then a failure of the dungeon. the dungeon was not the player in that case. the player was.

With a group like that, I face tanked those, even with the pats. Just make sure everyone’s interrupting heals. And that was the first expac I tanked as a druid.
