Yeap, they’ll progress with professions, crafting their gear until a ilvl of normal raide. In the raide they would take a material to upgrade this itens to a heroic quality.
I agree that professions are in the dump, I dont think taking away forms of content will help the game.
I think crafting gear would be great but they need to find a way to make professions relevant again while still containing alternate forms of content. If that makes sense.
I loved your sailboat idea. I think it’d be a cool way to travel between the hunts I mentioned earlier, possibly encountering enemies along the way and having naval battles. A Sea of Thieves type of deal.

More diversity and customization on the transmog and character (especially more hair styles and colours) front.
Would even be great if they bundled the transmog stuff in with professions with more craftable patterns and dyes.

A more organized appearance tab and less transmog restrictions. You could sort looks by color or armor type. More armor sets in the set tab even if they’re not from raids or pvp. I also want to be able to hide gear in the armor viewer thing for when I’m trying to make a transmog on the run.
Patchwerk style abominations for the Horde as a playable race. Don’t know what you would have to give to the Alliance to offset the coolness of playable abominations.
The player would have to be one of the shorter ones but a third fist would make for awesome tanks wielding two shields.
Advance hybrid class system
Guild garrions with guild missions, housing rooms, and training area
crafting primary gear and equipment source with advance single use item blue prints and resources coming from raids and mythic plus.
Mounts with special uses and abilities, like sable bags for extra storage, ability for limited mounted combat, or certain mount usable as “combat pet”
Pet battle creatures give Pve buffs when out in public.
warfronts have different tactics and ways of winning instead of check mark linear. Islands be exploring missions with many possible events, mini dungeons, spy, creature hunting, puzzle challenges and no time limit.
WM ability to turn off when dead, instead of just at inns.
Hunters pets to be more like gear with different rating and abilities.
Bounty hunter mission where player can create missions and rewards to hunt a player from a different faction. (yes, yes, this is all about revenge and silly, but could be fun)
Hmm…how about a new raid that everyone would love. “The vanquishing of Activision” Yup they could setup a virtual corporate office for them inside wow. The Activision Trading company…run by the Goblins but with the faces of Activisions corporate leaders as the Raid bosses. Oh yeah I can think of all sorts of ideas to make this a seriously popular raid with awesome drops
Housing. Actual non garrison housing. With real customization and that would be entirely optional.

The single most important thing they should do: open up Residuum for all slots and have all gear give some on DE/scrap.
That alone would save this game.

You can lay EVERY treasure you got from raids, like statues, jewelry, boss heads etc. Not just one or two boring achievement reward.

You can put your amazing armor sets into mannequins like samurais do.

Totally FREE space to put your objects, NOT predetermined ones.

You can buy ANY type of house around the WHOLE world, from MageTowers on Elwynn to those old houses in Boralus. I don’t care if it’s difficult to do, it’s 2019!!!
**A TRUE new customization system.

Tons of new faces, scars, piercings etc.

Give special effects to these things, like glowing eyes for characters that work with magic etc etc.

**Upgrade old wow engine with tons of new and modern things, like NEW lighting system with new effects, shaders and post-process functionalities. We have MMORPGS in Unreal Engine 4 now a days and they look beautiful.
**Some specs really need a total rework, like the totally boring pve Arcane.
**Redo whole Stormwind with new Assets, it looks so old it hurts.
A radical change. Do away with class specific abilities and add talent trees that are not class specific. Allow for mass hybridization
wind fury totem and old wind fury animation , and 2 hand axes with stormstrike so it is viable.

Yep, the exact same Boralus of the game, just ‘ported’ to a different render engine.
Flying.
If not flying then the ability to use transform items until you cancel it.I have the faded wizard toy and it loved to make me a goblin when I might want to be an elf.
I’d add…
- Level 120 Talent Row. The Level 100 row would become accessible at 105 for all new characters.
- Talent points are awarded every 5 levels from level 80 to 120. These points can be applied to your chosen talents to increase their affectiveness in 2%, 4% and 5% increments.
- Remove GCD on every ability with a cooldown of 30 seconds or more.
- Restore several abilities from each class (to be determined which ones) to fill out their toolkits including AOE and Single Target rotations for all Tanks.
