Right now, after the three year time skip, it looks like the Horde and Alliance are doing their best to get along. I mean just look at the Dragonscale Expedition and how the Reliquary and Explorer’s League get along so well instead of trying to steal artifacts from each other.
But peace can be a fragile thing and since this is World of WARcraft what do you think will bring the war back to the world?
Probably some contrived event initiated by a character written in a way that completely breaks their character and isn’t in the slightest in-line with how you would expect them to act–
Eh. I dunno. I’m tired of having outright war. I’d definitely be down for some sort of cold war though. Give us a few more stealthy-ish missions, that sort of thing.

When another horde member got hit by the villain bat
It doesn’t need to be outright war, but the hand-holdy tone of the Dragonscale expedition is pushing my built in Orc-ometer from Thrall to Garrosh.
We need some kind of intrigue, STAT. You never want the orcometers to swing towards Garrosh.
How about the third faction

We’re out of Warchiefs but I nominate Gallywix. My goblin still hates him for the whole imprisonment thing.
Like the Primalists grow a brain, and carry out a false-flag attack that frames one faction against the other. Then sit back while the Alliance and Horde fall back into their wonderful cycle of hatred and consume all of the dragon isles in the fires of war?

Nothing because they are considering cross faction guilds last I heard. Don’t think we will ever get the old horde vs alliance back fully
Something important that the factions discover-- might be sooner as the two groups of Dracthyr return to the Forbidden Shore.
Most likely the connection for Orc and Human heritages sets from the Dragon Isles.
I want racial war instead of faction war. Horde/Alliance is an outdated concept, and I’m sure the Elves are more than happy to take each other out.
Imagine that the game has two entirely new side factions the primalists and their friends and the titans and aspects and all their buddies? And yeah that could be a thing.

Most people do not care at all about that kind of thing. I bet there are some diehard nelf fans that would love for the faction barrier to come down.
Please don’t. That content and storylines were garbage.
I am beginning to feel Horde Vs Alliance is becoming dated. The division of the player base is unhealthy at this point. In most places Horde vastly outnumber Alliance. I think the game is at a point where it’s time to change how we look at the division between the two main alliances.
I personally see a lot of cordial cooperation out in the wild. Folks helping other factions and working together to accomplish a common goal. I feel this is something WoW needs more of.
PvP can still exist easily. Almost all the BG’s have their own warring factions. Why not let folks decide who they align with?
I think they should let us fully group and even guild with each other.
All they have to do is keep us enemies in WM (I think it would be hilarious to see guild members killing each other), don’t let us into each other capital cities and yeah keep BGs the way they are.
I’m hoping never?
Ironically enough the lowest points in WoW were during conflicts. Remember BfA where the main focus was the faction conflict? And it went literally nowhere? To the point it seemed like both factions forgot the war even existed by the end?
The faction conflict has never added anything from a narrative perspective.
