And do the undead still live?
Nothing, go back to Bolvar I guesss.
They Rez Sylv, we repeat.
Sylvanas’s Valkyr seem to have a bond with her where they will resurrect her if they can. This is where things get tricky though.
We haven’t heard that the Valkyr can’t revive Sylvy, but if they DO make mention of it, we’re dealing with the principle of Checkov’s Gun at that point by adding plot elements and possibly not using them.
I’d wager after their deal with Sylvanas is concluded they either get “annexed” to Eyir/Odyn (if they can be purified) or to Helya (who is not dead as we all know.)
There are only 3 left that are strong enough to revive Sylvanas. So they would each sacrifice themselves to revive her as that is their pact with her. Once those three are gone, she is out of luck.
Man, my cat has more lives than Sylvy…
The Val’kyr serve Sylvanas for one purpose, extra lives. Everytime she dies, her Val’kyr will take her place in WoWs version of hell.
She made this pact in a book, after Arthas was defeated she threw herself from the top of Icecrown, when she died she was in hell being tormented, the val’kyr saved her and made that pact.
In Silverpine Godfrey shot her in the back of the head and killed her, and 3 of her Val’kyr gave up their lives to bring her back.
Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t there just one Valkrye now?
The val’kyr are bound by pact to revive her if they can, but if it’s not possible then they’ll probably just become unemployed again. Sylvanas died in Silverpine and the val’kyr were physically unaffected by it.
The rest of the forsaken and undead will be fine. None of them are magically tied to Sylvanas, they’ll just carry on as usual.
There are three of them still alive of the original nine she signed the pact with. Only those three can actually revive her.
But I thought the last 2 were on Darkshore and we killed 1 of them
Oh no that was two out of the four total she had. We don’t know where the other two were.
Ahh ok I was under the impression they were the last 2 thanks for clearing that up
And when Genn intervened with Sylvanas she was attempting to blackmail the Valkyre into giving her more correct?
Pretty much. Sylvanas knows her greatest weakness is her limited val’kyr. So she tried to enslave Eyir, one of the rare beings who can actually create more of them.
Thats right, the only reason I am trying to refresh myself is because I really think Bolvar might be behind a lot of things and might be influencing Sylvanas untill all her Valkrye are dead so he can either kill her and command the Foresaken or enslave her…Just my theory on how things are unfolding.
There are 3 left. Signe, Kyra, and one unknown.
The only thing that kills Val’kyr, we’ve seen, are them sacrificing themselves (and one time, a player). But we also saw that one of the lead writers interfered to keep Nathanos from dying in the Darkshore scenario, so it’s safe to assume he’d interfere to protect the Val’kyr, too.
I guess in order to kill Sylvannas we have to kill them all, so it’s an impossible alternative. =v
They don’t really die, well sort of, they become dead undead if that makes sense.
Sorta like I’m my own Grampaw
The Val’kyr would die and Sylvanas would rise again.
That’s their entire purpose lol
One of them is on the horde mission boat. The 2nd one is in Darkshore when the horde control the zone. The 3rd one was the one who gave Nathanos his new look in the short story “Dark Mirror”. The 3rd one is yet to be named.
Basically,
Sylvanas had a deal with 9 powerful Val’kyr. The leader of these 9 took Sylvanas’ place in WoW hell after Sylvanas thought it would be cool to land on a saronite spike.
So she was left with 8
3 give up their lives to bring their new leader back after Godfrey killed her in Silverpine. The alliance kill one in the western plaguelands. Tyrande kills one in Darkshore.
So yeah, Sylvanas only has 3 left.
