When you’ve cleared all of the raids, gotten the best gear and ran out of things to do?

My dude
Depends on what Blizzard does. I will continue to play if they create new content in the style and spirit of Classic or if they release TBC and WotLK, but beyond that the gameplay and mechanics are terrible and I won’t play.
Battlegrounds, world pvp, alts. This will be my forever game. Not leaving in 2 years.
I don’t even know what I am doing 5 minutes from now!
I will hope for TBC
Start making twink characters
World PvP
Get alts to max level and get gear for them
Begin the journey on the other faction
I am not worried about getting burned out, there is plenty to do. Of course, taking breaks during all that for other games will increase the longevity as well.
Quite ambitious thinking people will be t3 in under 2 years
One of 4 options :
-
Start over on “fresh”
-
Migrate to tbc if that’s a thing
-
Consider playing the next retail expansion if it’s actually decent and moves back towards classic style rpg
-
Play a good game, if the gaming industry starts remembering how to make those and releases a new one.
Highly likely not playing WoW.
Play the new BC servers when they come out
Continue to log on and hang out with my friends.
I love PvP, and dueling especially. I’d find really good Horde and Alliance players to duel all the time, plus join battlegrounds with friends.
I’d advertise over trade that I can help anyone power through any dungeon to help their alts. I’d otherwise continue to raid because a lot of BiS for Rogues share the same loot table as Hunters (Crossbow) for example.
I would also quickly raid MC with my guild or pugs to get the bindings for Thunderfury, otherwise farm all the materials before/during the process.
I can go on. My point is there’s a lot to do, even if the raids are fully complete. I love Vanilla for all aspects, it will keep me busy for a long time. I can’t wait to be standing around in IF/SW mouse over players as they target me in inspect feeling proud.
I always wanted to be like that Rogue, now’s my chance.
Depends on if the #nochanges whiners have their way. If so, I’ll have dropped it already. If not, I’ll be waiting for new content if they don’t add flying mounts or start homogenizing the classes.
Battlegrounds, alts, twinks.
This. Less than 5% of the existing population will have killed Kel’thuzad in 2 years.
But when the times comes, if I’m able to get there, I will move on to TBC like most other people. Pretty sure TBC comes out within 3 years.
As long as TBC, the expansion that destroyed WoW doesn’t come out we’ll be good.
Those types of questions always made me uncomfortable in job interviews.
Play twinks and pvp most likely
Turn 42. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
I’ll be participating in wow classic for sure. I’ll hope more headway is made on other blizzard games (not FPS, mobile RPG). Hopefully Diablo 4 will start to be a thing. I have to think that blizzard can’t be stupid enough not to work on another MMORPG replacement to WoW. I think with all the classic hype, developers will understand how big MMORPG’s are when done properly and give us what we want.
