What will happen AFTER Naxx?

You know, outside of the garrison and how the story was done, Draenor had a lot more potential than Outland.

That said, the garrison murdered most of it and the story never felt like it went anywhere.

Even though the story in TBC should be more shallow, there was some wonder to finding out about the ethereals and how the naga drained the Zangarmarsh.

Draenor did have much better zones though and more variety to its looks.

I sense the inquisition coming for me; I must run and hide now.

They have not, and probably won’t post about it.

Why decide now when you can wait and see.

Yes, though it DOES mimic the original game’s progression, as we went through the portal before northrend. I can imagine why the devs were more excited for outland.

I wasn’t specifically talking about naxx. I meant expansion release by date.
So specifically, what happens after the amount of time between classic release and TBC drops. Are we going to lengthen the TBC drop to let more people into Naxx? Are we going to just let the server stay 1.12 forever? Are we going to reset the server every 18 months?

Are they going to start a new venture with this? Different expansions? Flight never actually happens and TBC never ends up being the next part of the timeline? Completely new content?

Pros for resets are that it always feels fresh and always gives a challenge
Cons are that there really won’t be a community considering you’ll never keep your 18 months of hard work or might never end up getting to Naxx for example

Pros for new content is who knows, maybe the hit it out of the park and actually listen to a huge portion of their playerbase getting sick of maxing out 10 level 120s in a week and playing these super simple but massively varied things to progress in giving to genuine challenge
Cons for new content is it’s probably unlikely activision would approve the budget for a whole new fully ramped take on WoW and maybe they mess it up and the same thing happens - sub drops

There’s so much to it and I’m genuinly curious. I havent seen a publisher roll back their content like this before from a game this size with this large of an impact on the gaming market. It’s interesting.

Character creation screen.

lol but in all honesty. I want these servers to remain plain Classic.
I’d love to see a “Alternate timeline” set of servers start like Classic then go through a different timeline but this time maintain the Vanilla gameplay.

Having an idea about it now would be easier than trying to shoehorn it in later with ideas like Transfers or Fresh TBC. Denoting Progression servers would keep the communities that wanted to do things differently together as opposed to interspersing them through out any number of servers.

Being informed allows better decision making by players and developers alike. Much like the RP-PVP server should exsist at launch as opposed to some arbitrary date later after launch.

I would love to see Karazhan released at the same length of time it took before BC came out. Almost release it like and xp. Make it hard like Naxx but also allowing time to release other content they never got to as originally planned. would be a cool thought and fun to see classic develop its own world other than today’s retail.

I’d love a new server that starts fresh for BC.

I’d love a server that progresses into BC but not as much. Only reason is because that means it’d progress into Wrath (big YAY) but then that’d progress into Cata etc (boourns). I’d take it over nothing but would much MUCH rather a separate BC server that everyone starts fresh on to avoid silly business of people sending over gold and stuff.
