I’m not a noob or a pro. I’ve practiced a bit on the naughty server’s tournament realm and it’s true that well played rogues are scary lol. Even if they don’t manage to kill me for whatever reason, they put such a huge amount of pressure on me that I feel like I’m essentially taken out of the fight.
I’m sure I have a long way to go to git gud, but I’m not a bad player by any means. I’m sure if you’re a pro druid you’ll make it work, but dealing with rogues is going to be the biggest hurdle for the rest of us regular mortals.
I wonder if god comp will work in TBC, sure seems like it could, and if it works out man oh man there will be some broken keyboards; that comp is straight tilting to play VS.
Yeah that’s the point I’m trying to make. Rogue is the BEST class in TBC. A well played rogue is a massive hurdle to even very skilled players. There will be no shortage of rogues in arena either. Every guy and his brother will be playing the class. It’s also incredibly easy to be decent at rogue. An average player is more dangerous on a rogue than any other class.
I’ve seen it played at high ranks, it’s decent it’s really not a bad comp. It’s just not as threatening as it is in later expansions. The reason it isn’t AS good is because your priest obviously can’t be spreading dots ANYWHERE because of the obvious Polly breaks. So hard swapping is sort of tough for example. If you are focusing a rogue for example and the healer trinkets a polly, it’s sort of tough to then do the thing god comp does which is polly your kill target and then go all out on the healer.
It’s for sure a playable comp tho, just not insane.
Is it really godcomp if druids dont have iceblock haha. Either way I think most people consider the shaman version being a lot better in tbc and wrath.
Even if you are a good player, nothing will change the fact that things like forcing a trinket with blind, even when blinds CD is less than a trinket, will inevitably put you in a situation where you are stuck in caster form, rogue vanishes and puts you in a stun lock that will absolutely murder you.
I know you didn’t say it, but the people saying “just sit in bear form” honestly makes me giggle, as if you can just sit in bear the whole time. You’re gunna have to go to caster form eventually, and that when you will see just how much damage a rogue is going to put on you. And if they have a druid with them… don’t worry brother once you are out of that stun lock you just got put in, you’ll get gouged, you’re going to be spam cycloned so you can’t heal yourself, and then right when you think you can heal yourself the rogue vanishes and starts the whole thing over again.
