A thread for sharing your most epic moment in WotLK classic.
In Wintergrasp, you can use TBC engi rocket boots (they are faster than the WotLK engi tinker) and slowfall to fly from the fortress graveyard area to on top of the ramparts of the fortress. One game, on offense, I snuck into the fortress and raced up the hill in between enemy resurrection waves, and slowfalled out onto the ramparts. It was a close game, and after a few minutes of cheesy nuking to support my team breaking in, the final door was almost down with less than a minute remaining. At about 15seconds remaining, I thought ânow or neverâ and rocketed out towards the final door. A teammate dealt the final blow to the door, and with just 4 seconds remaining I floated through the cloud of dust to touch the orb for the victory.
I of course was not recording my gameplay at the time. What was your most epic WotLK moment?!
Probably the first time my group downed HLK or Yogg 0 on 25m. Very stressful fights as a tank. We had to kite LK around with taunts at the end because we hit the enrage timer. (We donât stack classes or anything, so no funny business with our kill, just clean execution)
Unironically, getting white polar from bag. Took me like 200 or so days to get it. I was so happy to finally be done with that quest.
Getting <âSaltyâ> and <âChefâ> titles was cool. But nothing too crazy.
As a healer, my most âepic momentsâ are really when our disc dies. Cuz thatâs when you really gotta heal. But in return, you get to parse lmao.
As for the MOST fun, iâd say Wrath launch week. My guildmate tank buddy and I developed a PERFECT exact 12m Old Kingdom run. Since it was 5 lockouts per hour, doing it any faster would be lead to downtime. But it was 12 minutes exactly with 800k+ HP/Hour. He was SWP geared tank and I was full T6 geared resto. All pugs were blown away by our pull strats.
Same also went for TBCC launch week. I was boosted 58 paladin (as I skipped Classic release on purpose). I donât know why, but early Ramparts and Furnace grinds were mad fun for me. Going like 3-4 pulls back to back without drinking was like an amazing thing for paladins at the time.
On the evening of Wrath launch, as an Rsham+Rdruid duo, ganking people in Borean Tundra who just sat a 4 hour queue
All the various weird RP stuff on Grobb. For example the âDalaran aquariumâ at Violet Hold with 100 people all with fish trinket / fish minipets / druid aquatic form etc
Getting crossrealm/Lv1 rage whispers from arena players is always good too
I have a ton of epic moments. Iâm very extremely disappointed with Blizzardâs decision in that they are not keeping a Wrath era server. I will probably go back to the private server scene. That said, I fondly remember beginning midway through TBC and still playing to this day Wrath Classic.
I played original Wrath. I wanted to recreate my original Paladin. Race, Class, Spec, Name, everything. Not only did I successfully recreate my character just as it was but I got to see content that I never seen before in original Wrath and earned the gear too! Iâm super proud of this Paladin. I main tanked and off-tanked in all phases of Wrath.
I made new friends and sadly lost some old friends along the way. Itâs sort of a bittersweet memory for me. Iâm still having a blast in ICC and RS but Iâm not sure what I will do when Wrath ends. This is by far my most favorite expansion and I hate that itâs going away.
My epic moment will be when I retire and never have to give money to this company ever again. Canât beat that.
People like pointing this out, as if I donât already know. Since you like stating the obvious, Iâll do it too. I do raid log, and my posts are not troll posts.
Thatâs basically the plan. I wouldnât even bother with cataclysm except that itâll make for easy recording content. But will only be doing phase 1 dungeons and thatâs it. Wonât come back for anything after that. It probably wonât even take 1 whole month to do.
You can do that right nowâŚthere is no pension plan to hold out for. You can also just raid log and stop doing troll posts like these to minimize your Blizzard interactions until your imaginary âretirementâ requirements have been met.

These are pretty cool, never did yogg0 and my current guild is progging HLK. Discord was pretty loud when we finally got our 1 and only 50/50 Anub lol.
I got Rivendareâs charger in one of mine!!
Launch week was sick, felt good to have the 5-man groups pre-planned and everyone ready to blast.

Tbh this is my plan too. Zug zug into the sunset and be done with it. Might check out Cata for a month but planning to spend far less time on video games in general.

The forums sometimes donât quote the original person you are replying to, even when you click âreplyâ to that specific post; however, you would have gotten notification I responded to your post but no it was in response to the post right above mine.
No biggie â aggravates me as well. Sometimes I canât tell if someone responded to one of my posts or not. Most of the time it seems to work but then other times idk. I should start to just highlight and quote directly but by this time Iâd expect a mature forum product to handle things better.
