The first anime I remember seeing was UFO Robot Grendizer. In English. Before VCRs were common. I remember seeing it at my great-grandmother’s before Reagan was elected. That puts it before Robotech. It took me forever to find the name again, some 40 years later.

None really scarred me. Most are too exotic to really scare me, either. Akira I only watched once, and I’m good, though.

Heh, I remember that one. My aunt put a copy on VHS for us when she had cable. Definitely marked out because it was one of the more odd ones we got from her.

One of the best ones to come out in the last year or so. Very recommended unless you can’t handle a bit of blood.

It doesn’t matter the FMA version you watch, that episode is painful.

Dragonball, this was back in the 90s so I didn’t know what “anime” was it was just a cartoon to me.

it was shaman king. It wasn’t fully dubbed to my languange, my english was also pretty bad at the time. So instead of a dub on tv i watched japanese+english subs. Learned english in process and started to hate dubs.
