That’s a Ghibli movie though. Ghibli=amazing ofc though, so I can’t judge.

Normally ,anime don’t scare me only one came close and that was JLA in the 70’s where they actually showed people being killed<not joking.
Pokemon, then Dragon Ball Z.
I watched like one episode of Pokemon on netflix. I was also like, eight and I watched the crummy tv adaptation of Pac Man on the side, soooo I might not have had the best judgement half a decade ago.
Demon Slayer is probably one of the best animes released in recent years, and the last few years have been pretty darn good.

Another first for anime for me that wasn’t saturday morning cartoons. I remember ages ago Disney channel showed Kiki’s Delivery Service. I still have a giant soft spot for that movie. Going from typical disney and nickelodean animation to THAT was a trip for my little kid brain

I have an irrational hatred for that film because my hermanito was obsessed with it for like a year and I kind of put it in the same camp as Frozen.

First couple anime I watched more on purpose were Evangeleon and King of Thorn. Paprika shortly after. All 3 awful. Quit the medium for years.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the one that got me to give anime another shot. Watching at least a couple episodes of -something- a week perpetually these days.

Must’ve been Dragonball or Sailor Moon, and I’m talking about airing before Toonami. Before even the precursors to Toonami which was Moltar from Space Ghost airing cartoons.
Pretty sure Dinosaurs were still roaming the Earth at the time…
