What was the point of Tyrande in SL?

I mean honestly?

HONESTLY?

Blizzard’s writers shoudl find some way to do that. some way to just retcon the whole thing. Maybe we can get Nozdormu to hiccup the timeline or something.

Because that 'storyline" has been the worst thing in WoW and everyone everywhere deserves better. Give night elves made before 10.0 an exclusive mount that can only be used by night elves, or some sort of compensation of the like, and just… burn the story like it’s a big tree in the middle of the ocean.

You hate it. we hate it. everyone hates it. it’s awful. Give it the Ba Sing Se treatment, “there is no fire in Teldrassil!” and let’s all be on our merry way, admiring the cool Night-Elf exclusive swag.

Oh that is easy. They needed to retire Sylvanas and move her away, just like they did with Illidan, due to their popularity. And now they have set Tyrande up as the new Illidan, while Alleria and Veressa have replaced Sylvanas.
It seems my fear from long ago is actually coming true, the better Horde characters are being replaced by whitewashed Alliance pets. I can only wonder who is next now?

And this is why people say nothing is ever good enough for you people. Blizzard gives you what you want and you change the goal post and say “oh well it was discreet, it doesn’t count.”

I already told you why Night Elves will never reclaim Ashenvale and that’s because its a neutral questing zone. The only time territory has permanently shifted one way or another in-game was Cataclysm and that was done to equalize the A:H ratio that was unequal in vanilla. You will never get a version of Ashenvale lacking horde presence, ever. Live with it.

Tyrande overpowered sylvanas and made her flee. Sylvanas got away after that because she was the raid boss for that patch. How delusional do you have to be to think Tyrande would be the one to put Sylvanas down?

It’s been four years. Grow up and move on. They’ve given you everything you’ve asked for and all you people do is make up reasons to stay bitter and angry. “Oh, it doesn’t count because X.” Blizzard should stop pandering to you. They should let people like you quit and give other races more spotlight.

How does Tyrande being irrelevant and doing nothing appease night elf fans?

How was this “what you want”?

Tyrande lost, she needed to be saved by Ysera.

tbf it’s super weird that a life god has more power in the shadowlands than zoovy does when juiced up on infinite souls.

what are you talking about?

Did you fail to understand my point?
I gave you the reasons why the night elves / worgens communities as a whole don’t necessary feel that they got what they want, not what i think about it personally.

The fact that the victories are very discreet is the problem contibuting to the perception that we didn’t get anything because it means that the majority is not necessary aware of them.

And they don’t necessary know that Ashenvale is in majority under the control of the night elves again because the information is in a damn book instead in the game.
A book that is not necessary bought by the majority.

Because as it is IN GAME, the status of Ashanvale is unknown and as nothing was told IN GAME, the area could very well still be under the Horde banner while in fact, the night elves managed to take back 3/4 of the Ashenvale according of the book.
Even better, they managed to take back many parts from the Horde if we have to compare with the Cataclysm map.
It’s a huge difference in both way.

If the devs put these victories in the same light than the Horde victories, maybe people would have been satisfied.

It’s entirely a dev isssue.

A night elf / worgen player should be happy about the outcome of the war…if he didn’t have to dig two cinematics well hidden, to follow interviews of Danuser (who is notoriously unreliable) and having to pay TWO books to know that the Alliance beat the Horde everywhere.

Whether you like it or not, the devs never managed to stage things properly ingame and they never gave clear victories in broad daylight, leading to the current perception that “we nerver got what we wanted”.

I forgot to mention the battle of Lordaeron following Tel drassil: Even there, i’m sure that both communities would have been done with it if we had dealt the same blow:

  • Destroying Lordaeron / Undercity (was done by the Horde).
  • Slain as many civilian Forsakens as possible. (the majority was evacuated)

Having a proper payback to move on could have been done at the very start!

We have not seen the same fight: Both women were pretty even but ultimatly, Tyrande lost because of a literal Deus ex machina, allowing Sylvanas to make a sarcastic comment before leaving as she fulfilled her role as a decoy.
Don’t you think that there’s a little problem here if the goal was to satisfy the night elves / worgens communities?

Like, Night Warriors are always the most powerful critters around in the Shadowlands. The only reason Tyrande didn’t kill Sylvanas was because of an incredibly poor excuse that she wanted to live or something, idr what Elune said in her cutscene.

Meanwhile Malganis et al. are terrified of the Stonewright… despite that they’re actually empowered by the literal god of the literal zone they’re in.

It’s just weird that Elune’s champions trump other gods’ champions in their own zones.

Stonewright isn’t empowered by Elune, the dead nightwarriors no longer have Elune’s power. That’s why they are former night warriors. People can just be good warriors, it’s like complaining about why Draka is so high up in Maldraxxus.

Mein friendo, she literally uses moon magic to nuke people.

Maybe you don’t know what “former” means I guess. She’s not a night warrior anymore.

She literally channels Elune’s magic.

Yes, but she’s no longer a night warrior, you don’t need to be a night warrior to channel arcane magic. I don’t think she mentioned elune outside of being a FORMER night warrior.

Arc-
It’s not arcane! It’s Night Warrior Elune moon and star magic!
they literally call her a night warrior!

Why are you challenging this?

And speaking of moon and star,

People do not keep the night warrior power after it kills them. Those are still arcane spells. “Moon and stars” is not an element of spells. She is no longer a night warrior, she is a FORMER night warrior.

Whats yonder source on that?
Given, you know, Stonewright is specifically stated to be the most powerful (non Denthrius) venthyr specifically because she was the night warrior.

Druids still use Elune magic without being night warriors.

Yeah, druids don’t even have to worship elune use her magic either. He is saying she is still a night warrior, when she is a former night warrior.

The citations for “former night warrior” don’t even mention her being a night warrior (let alone former) at all.

Renathal’s Notes

The Stonewright is untouchable. Not even our own stoneborn forces would dare raise a talon against her.

What is worse is that she is one of the first venthyr, like myself and the Curator. She was not made from a soul, but willed into being by Denathrius himself.

No sinstone, no mortal trappings, or past deeds will bend her to our will. If she is unwilling to provide us her medallion, we stand very little chance of recovering it.

Curator’s Addendum

Renathal.

You are confusing the Stonewright with the original Harvester of Wrath. She still exists, but had her power stripped and given to the Stonewright long ago.

If memory serves, the Stonewright was the first venthyr forged of a mortal soul to assume the role of a venthyr. She did… horrible things… in life in the name of protecting her people.

I have not seen the original Harvester of Wrath for a few epochs.

However, as to the location of the Stonewright’s sinstone, she secured it after the incident with the Accuser and the Lord Chamberlain. We would have an easier time retrieving something from the Jailer than recovering her sinstone now.

Ask me these things. I am the specialist after all.

Druids do have moonfire. Stonewright isn’t a druid. She is a Night Warrior, using Night Warrior powers.

I forgot how much Alliance players lie on story forum.
“Ardenweald wasn’t made for nelves!”
“Vol’jin and Bwonsamdi have as much time as nelves do!”
“The Stonewright’s moonpowers aren’t night warrior powers!”

You still haven’t quoted one thing saying she is currently a night warrior. Druids use more than moonfire as well. Wowpedia could be making it up, but you usually make up most of your information, so I will trust them 10/10 times over you. You can link the quest text saying she is currently a night warrior but have chosen not to, Stonewright doesn’t even have the black eyes of a night warrior.

This is to start looking for former night warriors, where you get huln to track them down. As usual you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Thiernax suggests a bold plan. Locating the other former Night Warriors will not prove easy.
