A lot of people been telling me nightfall the 2h axe got taken out of SOD can’t find a blue post about it or nothing just this 1 guy on wowhead. Follow up questions would be if they took it out what do I get in return should’ve gone Hammersmith or swordsmith
Are any of those people axesmith/exalted thorium? they updated the item so surely its not gone
why would they randomly get rid of some epic weapon 
they are much more likely to just make it obsolete with some easily obtained drop.

One of the devs was saying how that didnt want anyone to end up as a debuff bot in raid.
Annihilator and Nightfall are confirmed NOT in the game
Annihilator in particular was the only pre-raid, axesmith-exclusive, one-hand axe for level 60 players. I was disappointed by this one.
Nightfall isn’t a big loss since we got Refined Arcanite Reaper (same DPS) to compensate.

With deep prot as the go-to tank build & threat not really being an issue for Warriors: Annihilator would have been the go-to tank weapon forever. Probably even better than Thunderfury.
Just not having a replacement is a bummer. Axesmith is the only spec without a pre-raid one-hand weapon.
Should have just changed the weapon effects to only buff the user.
The straight removal of this was the wrong way to go. Literally not telling the community ahead of time made it even worse for those who grinded the rep.
No one is forced to use world buffs, yet guilds still do it religiously of speed running/optimization matters to them, no one forces players to have all applicable flasks/food/consumes and yet players and entire guilds do this because they decided that’s what matters to them. Imagine taking out any endgame aspects of alchemy, leatherworking, tailoring, enchanting, etc that required a rep grind and devs NOT announcing it at all for the same reasons as Nightfall.
If you’re in one of those speedrunning/hardcore guilds and you’re not necessarily enjoying farming for your flasks/consumes or world buffs, well then Bliz should just take those things out of the game with this kind of logic. I can’t imagine someone being in a HC guild for very long if they complained about having to do that sort of sacrifice.

sarcasm Honestly, They better remove the Black Qiraji Battle Tank mount, Scarab Lord title, and the opening of AQ world event. Would hate to “force” an ENTIRE server into feeling “locked” into a more supporting role donating their time/resources into gathering for the war effort, killing endless bugs just so a few people could benefit. I bet no one ever looks forward to that event. sarcasm
