With the addition of the Inscription profession plus the restriction that players can only buff themselves with one stat scroll at a time (RIP LEVEL 60 WORLD BUFF META), individual scrolls aren’t worth much anymore.
But what if we could do something with all these wraps of paper to make them more valuable? What if – and just stick with me here because yes, #SomeChanges – there was a way to ‘bind’ stacks of scrolls into a single item buff? Imagine, like, a trapper-keeper (Zoomers BTFO) for your scrolls? This item could either be crafted by Scribes (a.k.a. nerds) and sold on the AH, or maybe it would be something that could be purchased from an Inscription vendor.
So you buy your ensorcelled trapper-keeper and then, using stacks of scrolls (Level 60/70/80), you insert those scrolls into your ensorcelled trapper-keeper. Upon doing so, you magically have a new item – the [Tome of Many Buffs]. Now you have (1) item in your backpack that, when used, gives you a single buff for all stats. It’s a magic buff, so it can be dispelled (this means all Priests and Shaman automatically agree with my proposal).
It would look like this:
Scroll of Strength VI (x5)
Scroll of Agility VI (x5)
Scroll of Stamina VI (x5)
Scroll of Intellect VI (x5)
Scroll of Spirit VI (x5)
+Ensorcelled Trapper-Keeper (x1)
= [Tome of Many Buffs I] (+20 to all stats)
Scroll of Strength VII (x5)
Scroll of Agility VII (x5)
Scroll of Stamina VII (x5)
Scroll of Intellect VII (x5)
Scroll of Spirit VII (x5)
+Ensorcelled Trapper-Keeper (x1)
= [Tome of Many Buffs II] (+30 to all stats)
Scroll of Strength VIII (x5)
Scroll of Agility VIII (x5)
Scroll of Stamina VIII (x5)
Scroll of Intellect VIII (x5)
Scroll of Spirit VIII (x5)
+Ensorcelled Trapper-Keeper (x1)
= [Tome of Many Buffs III] (+40 all stats)
“BUT RAVENSTORM, WHO WOULD USE SUCH A THING”
- hardcore raiders
- raiders who are not hardcore but think they are hardcore
- PVPers
- Retribution Paladins
“BUT RAVENSTORM, WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE WHO HATE #SOMECHANGES”
We call them Mages, and Mages are nerds. Seriously, go hit one. They just start crying, and sometimes they cry so hard, they turn into a solid block of tears. (Attack on Titan totally ripped-off Blizzard.)
