Anyone know what time exactly prepatch will be out whether it’s tomorrow night or after Tuesday maintenance?

Nope. Maintenance will almost assuredly be extended. I would not plan on playing Tuesday much at all. If anything, maybe trying around 9:00pm EST.
Furthermore I would not recommend rushing to Boost or Server Transfer on Tuesday. The services are going to get absolutely hammered. They’ll likely have HUGE delays or be completely unavailable.
I think everyone will have a better prepatch if they all just write off Tuesday.

Probably, yeah. The demand for Shaman is going to be way higher than the demand for Paladins, and even though BE is a very popular race, and will definitely have people playing those during most of the prepatch, it’s not main swapping for many. Paladins aren’t very popular until at least Wrath.

People keep saying this, but the only way I see that happening is if the cloning screws up.
They’re just firing up TBC servers, they’re not patching anything with them. Classic has a better chance of having issues because they probably are making changes there.
Only got booted once from the servers on classic launch, so hopefully that maintains or is better.

Well, you are very right.
But what I am referring to is we are 99.5% alliance.
I have logged on my horde toon to take a census a couple times a day for the last 2 days.
The highest count of online Horde was 135 online. Period. While Alliance was pushing 3500 to 4000 online. Hard to tell since Census Plus takes forever to count our side.
But for those servers with healthy horde pops, Silvermoon will be crazy

Ah. Well, yeah, I didn’t even consider individual servers. Yeah it’s going to be… insane for those servers.
I’m on Whitemane so my problem is sheer population and bored 60s.

Historically, pre-patch is available after the scheduled Tuesday maintenance. This Tuesday it is scheduled for 7AM PDT - 3PM PDT. Expect issues, however.
Sometimes the downtime ends early, sometimes it runs long. But I would not expect pre-patch to be playable till 3PM PDT. If it comes up earlier, great, but do not expect it.

It went live last tuesday. If you’re not on prepatch you probably clicked “stay classic” on accident
Right there on the launcher it says that the servers will be down until 3:00 PST.
Consider that a ballpark time. You won’t get an exact time because the possibility exists that it could run past that or finish a bit earlier depending on any problems that arise.

Last night my server Azuresong was packed full of people. I’ve not ever seen that many people in SW since WotLK Pre-patch…

Currently maintenance is planned to run until 3PM PT, which coincides with the published launch times. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are up and ready, but we can’t log in until that time.
Is there not going to be further beta access on the day of prepatch or will it stay?
