The conversation that I was replying to had the parameters of accepting that Blizzard needed players to gear up to properly understand what changes needed to be made. And with that as the basic parameter, 4+ months was no longer accurate.
Whatever the reality of how much time they needed is I cannot say because I am not a developer. They told us they needed live game data and that they didn’t want to make major changes while people were trying to progress. That’s the best I can say other than I didn’t expect it to take as long as it is taking.
I love people that are watching a movie, don’t like it, and leave halfway through… but before they go they start yelling in the theater “This movie sucks and you should’nt watch it”
Its not about buffs or damage meter performance, its about specs that are so boring to play you find yourself falling asleep and still doing max DPS. Gameplay is horrid in BFA
I have long felt and suspected that the new development team on WoW are Marxists. The meddling with normalization of dmg in pvp where overgeared toons do less dmg to undergeared toons and vice versa, normalization of mobs where they scale with you………all of it reeks of Communist ideals.
I’m not saying the development team has posters of Vladimir Lenin in their offices but I think probably most of them are graduates from universities and 20% of university professors are self-avowed Socialists/Communists.
Can’t have that sort of sickness running through the halls of academia without the development team having been affected by it.
I’ve read them. We are getting substantial class changes. We are getting updates to azurite traits. We are getting an azurite vendor. We are getting a doubloon vendor. We are getting a new warfront. We are getting new islands. We are getting incursions.
But yes, we will still get threads like this because if there is one thing that will not change it’s the never satisfied attitude of the playerbase. They could add in high elves, vulpera, 450 gear for logging in, bots to run M+ with, and a $20 gift card to Sizzler and you wouldn’t be satisfied.
We don’t need threads posting the same nonsense over and over again. We get it. You’re unhappy. You want easier gear, dungeons, raids, pet battles, PvP. You want more “fun”. You want high elves. You want flying immediately so you don’t have to spend as much time traveling to the WQs you refuse to do because AP is silly.
What we really don’t need is more “I was gonna try WoW/getting back into WoW. But the toxic forums have changed my mind.” The claim that WoW is dying seems to be a self fulfilling prophecy from the playerbase. And some people won’t be happy till they drown it in a bathtub just to prove themselves right.
I stand by my appreciation for her use of the word waffles. I truly believe it was the best mix of fluffy with enough sound to remind us that someone was frustrated enough to cuss.
Ok so this was my original point. Hanging onto this and repeating it endlessly doesn’t make it more true nor does it make it fixable. It is non-constructive.
Even more hilarious when you realize shaman isn’t actually getting reworked, just number changes to their abilities. At least that was the case last time I checked.
I hate that you feel so discouraged. As I told someone earlier tonight, keep your finger on the pulse. I cannot guarantee it will get better for you but if it does, make sure you’re around to see it. I don’t mean keep playing. I mean just stay abreast of the changes.
