If the Sepulcher turned out to be on Azeroth and in Lordaeron or whatever it would mean the entire area would end up being neutral which I suspect isn’t what y’all had in mind.
I also think that it’s pretty dubious to expect someone like the Primus to care about Azerothian politics in any way, shape, or form and the notion that he’ll swoop in to soft-retcon BfA sounds like wishful thinking on the part of some particularly salty posters.
Plus, it’s very obvious at this point the Winter Queen will restore Teldrassil and mass-revive the Night Elves + Primus (and Marileth) will likely restore the Undercity
No evidence! Maximum - we will have a lot of wisp’s. No Teldrassil coming to life, this will be an eternal memorial to the Horde’s atrocities. And the Undercity will be a monument to the Horde’s ability to choose leaders who harm the Horde.
I personally don’t see the sepulcher being on Azeroth, least of all in lordaeron. I’d figure it would be what the jailer is looking for in korthia, granted I haven’t looked through the ptr on that.
No, what’s in Korthia is the sigil of the Primus, to open the Sepulcher. The location of the Sepulcher (as well as what it is or does or has) is only known apparently by the Primus, the Keeper of Secrets of Korthia, and maybe the other Eternals.
But we do know he created Frostmourne/Helm of Domination to claim the “final prize” that the “First Ones hid”
Tirisfall Glade has an Old God connection that was partially explained in Chronicle…but could easily be retconned into a Jailer connection. Wouldn’t be the first retcon.
It could mean Maldraxxus, but man what a boring…development? Why even write that as a thing then?
Because he can’t get into Azeroth without the events of 9.1
Also Tirisfal has a Yogg-Saron connection which is like the last remaining Wrath/Lich King tie-in character that has not been revealed yet.
Without Sylvanas, the forsaken are a completly different race than what we’ve been playing for 16 years. Nothing else matters if we don’t get Sylvanas back as racial leader, so that’s step one.
But she still controlled it, and given she was allied with the Jailer since Cata you’d think that would have translated into more than literally absolutely nothing.
The Sepulcher being that thing in Silverpine makes about as much sense as assuming any time someone uses the word “Sentinel” they’re referring to Sentinel Hill
It’s just an idea. And it’s not a bad one (in my opinion). It’s more interesting than 9.2/9.3 being in Maldraxxus. Like…that’s not very satisfying which is why everyone assumes it must be something completely different and the one in Maldraxxus is a mis-direction.
I know we’ve derailed the thread here, but frankly this is 100x more interesting than more Calia and changing the Forsaken talk which we’ve debated to death in the last 3 years.
-ish. As long as there is one of them left, they haven’t lost.
It happens. Especially in the Horde. It happens ALOT.
I don’t think this is accurate.
Most of the named Dark Rangers are dead, and that’s sad. But really, not many other named characters died. A little butthurt about Apothecary Jerrod and Apprentice Crispin. But They’re not gutted.
This I sort of agree with, but then there has always been people that wanted the forsaken to be the Scourge, or even worse… Humans.
My wish is that while things change, the forsaken carry the same spirit with them into the future.
The locations for The Sepulcher are imo likely either under Lordaeron or in Northrend, but I’m betting Lordaeron.
The thing in Maldraxxus is not The Sepulcher given the location of the Sepulcher is a mystery that Bonesmith Hermir is completely unaware of, who is from Maldraxxus.
It is probably also not The Sepulcher in Silverpine, which is another Sepulcher of course, but also another misdirection.
There is a third, unknown, secret Sepulcher established by the First Ones long ago and sealed with the five sigils given to the Covenants.
