coming back to BFA after a 2 year break (quitting cuz of how broken the game was)
i come back and the game is even more of a circus that it was when i left… peoples trinkets and corruptions doing 50% of their damage. people spawning tentacles out of the ground that crit me for 90k. there’s no templates in pvp anymore so i gotta keep getting my butt pounded match after match or suck it up until i get enough weekly chests to be competitive. this game is an abosolute abomination. ive been playing for 14 years since i was a kid. never seen it in this state. what are these developers doing man. they’re killing this game holy mother of god

Yeah, this is the worst patch to ever come back to in the history of the game. If you haven’t been playing to keep up with everything you’re screwed.

im scared bro. like the fact that they let this go live and didn’t put templates back or into pvp or just simply turning off corruption is insane. I can’t see Shadowlands being any better honestly. the PVP gear is gonna be a joke and im going to be stuck spending 90% of my time in dungeons

This video was so painful to watch. It really gets me thinking, “Do I really want to give Blizzard another chance to fix PVP with SL?” When I see train-wrecks like this, I have to wonder, “Is hope foolish?”
The PVE favouritism of the current devs is palpable.

LOL every expac since Cata in the last patch someone says this. I personally think the last season of Cata was more overblown with item effects, because the best were limited to certain classes. Could be perception bias b/c acclimation to the crazy.
I’m curious, do you think that it’s better for classes or gear to carry the weight for how strong a character is? I don’t mean that in a combative way, just for the sake of discussion.
That’s because every expansion since Cata, when you think the game can’t get any worse, they prove you wrong (maybe barring s15 of mop). We thought wod was the worst the game could ever be and then we got legion and bfa.
And Cata legendarys/vial/cunning were busted for sure but as a whole 8.3 and bfa in general is far worse. At least in Cata besides those occasional trinkets/weps you were wearing actual pvp gear.

I mean, essences, corruption, corruption resistance, PvE grinding for gear, echo grinding for all of the above. The last season of the expansions are arguably the best balance wise except this one. I’ve also never heard anybody say what I said because the catch up has never been this bad.
I’d prefer your character carry the weight. But this is an mmo so people believe it’s your gear that should make your character. I’ve never been a fan of gear carrying the weight in a PvP setting.

yeah its insane. im currently 1778 CR and i applied for a 1500 cr yolo 3s group.
the group leader said “sorry but your trinkets r bad” and declined me.
like lmfao come on man what in the flying funk has this game become.
If you think PvP is bad now, wait until shadow lands lol
