Alright. I’ll take your word on that. I’ve done the quest several times on my Alliance character but never read that. However, I don’t pay a ton of attention to quest text.
I’m the hero.
You’re a violent psychopath who happens to get paid for it.
Nah im pretty sure the “good” guys did most of that too.
Not to mention priests have an ability called mind control.
Orcs would disagree with you.
I wouldn’t defend them as a human society, but I understand why they do it as shepherds of the afterlife. We are all heavily biased people, our society, our upbringing, our beliefs all shape that. In order to be unbiased all that needs to be removed.
It’s a duty, not a paradise.
Wasn’t quest text, by word of mouth from the Pandarens themselves they were “paid” to build it, they just didn’t realize “it” was a fortress of war…though there is DEFIITINELY some kind of forced labor Horde side in the Alliance player version…
Orcs would disagree with a lot of things. That doesn’t make them less evil.
100% agree. Also they are ugly and smell bad.
So you think by beating the sha from them is a cult act and not a form of exorcism?
I don’t doubt The Primus. Viva Maldraxxus!
picks up pieces of the fallen Kyrian to build a giant smurfination
Bastion is the only place that morally sucks, whatever Uther went through, I likely agree with him even if he was misguided indirectly by the Jailer. I sure as hell don’t want to give up my past life to serve and to serve what? I still haven’t quite figure that out but every other covenant sure is straightforward about their purpose but Bastion and sure as hell don’t want my memories gone just to serve.
Nothing. to. see. here.
This is something I’ve been wondering about. I’m not sure what the Kyrians duty is. Vampire guys get the souls to repent. Fairy guys help souls get reborn. The undead guys are like the military and defenders of the SL.
Everyone of the convenants has a corruption, even turn to not care as a whole ,it took us to show just how bad it was,
Kyrians collect souls from the mortal worlds. They’re the spirit healers.
so… You’re not okay with beating up kyrians that have violently gone rogue… but your chill with tossing them all into an inescapable hell?
You have to understand that “doubt” for a Kyrian isn’t like doubt for a mortal being, or even another member of a shadowlands race. What they are, are beings of absolute impartiality and fairness. They’re made up of an ideal, an emotion, serenity itself. Doubt to them is like a deadly virus that, if not caught in time, can not only fatally harm them, but also spread to others.
Our perception and understanding isn’t what they’re ways of life should be judged against. They’re beings of a completely different realm of existence, as alien as it gets… of course what they do may be seen as strange or inhumane to us… but that doesn’t mean that it is.
Ahhhh. Ok. Honestly, I found their story to be kind of boring. I wasn’t really paying really close attention to the quests and cut scenes.
What?
You said you were against beating doubtful kyrians, but you’re also okay with sending them all to the maw.
My guess is that by the time we get done with the Kyrian storyline they will have a rude awakening for what they believe is just.
