I’d absolutely love for a dev to speak on warrior design philosophy, the performance of warrior, and the continuous nerfs the DPS specs are receiving.

The last WoWhead article involving warrior was from I believe June (non-blizzard employed class writer) and I do not believe we’ve had a developer speak on Warrior for the entirety of the expansion. It points me to believing that this person doesn’t exist currently and warrior got dumped on a developer with no real ties to the class itself.

I think you’re right, definitely feels that way.
My only hope is that warrior is going through a rework behind-the-scenes which will drop in the next major content patch.
The most hilarious part about all this is I’m hearing not only are DK’s getting buffed with the patch, but enhance shamans and arcane mages are too.
Like what is actually going on over there with Blizzard balancing. Nerfing warrior dps to be gutter trash and then BUFFING MULTIPLE SPECS that are already top tier.
I mean seriously, at what point can you describe it as anything but incompetence? Especially when they won’t communicate?

As a warrior main, I just want to vent my frustrations on these nerfs as well. Now that I have AOTC, I have unsubbed until season 2. I only play my main in each expansion and these nerfs are out of line. My unsub may not do much, but I am not a big forum poster and I know I am not the only warrior ticked at the over nerf. Best of luck out there warriors and see yall next season in hopes they fix this.

According to Archi warrior is always fine and great even when its bottom of every category and damage profile.

Check out his latest tweets about fury bugs if you really want to fume. In response to bugs that went live related to the unhinged talent that further nerfed fury’s sustained aoe he had to say “And honestly? I’m fine with that.”
No wonder why we always get nerfed and nerfed hard. The people that essentially represent the class will always defend any amount of garbage dumped onto us, while at the same time it’s filled with forum trolls claiming anyone who complains about the latest rounds of nerfs is just bad at the game. These people need pushback on their back attitudes and that includes bad positive attitudes. No one should be surprised when the proposed class tuning changes that they mentioned will drop next week will either be further nerfs to the spec or being completely ignored altogether. Warriors have only been giving Blizzard the green light and that’s how they’ll respond.

Like just putting words into people’s mouth because you’re mad is actually wild.

You do realize what the phare “putting words in their mouth” means right? I took an exact quote of what he said. He literally said with his words that came out of his mouth “And honestly? I’m fine with that.”
Let’s assume for a second this was an intended and undocumented nerf that Blizzard simply forgot to put into the patch notes. In that alternative universe his opinion of “And honestly? I’m fine with that.” would have held true and he would have been very unlikely to raise concern over it considering his past responses to the myriad of nerfs we have already suffered.

Not once did he say he was fine with it. He said he was fine with the spec on ONE Fight, and than immediately says “The only reason this looks strong is because the adds don’t live long enough for anyone else to hit them.”
Read it with context and stop just putting someone on blast, that has done tremendous work for our community for literally over a decade. You’re angry w/e, but don’t half quote someone with some BS.
TIL Reading is not apart of the warrior requirements. I remember why I stopped coming to these forums to help people because people like you would rather be helpless and angry and get upset at anyone trying to help you.

Just finished Broodtwister. As expected, OF and TR lost ~17-20% damage, amounting to maybe -3% of my overall.
Except I also went from 477 Reap hits → 76, from 12.6% of my damage to 2.5% over 7:40. Overall, I lost an extra ~10% compared to last week to this unannounced bug/nerf.
And honestly? I’m fine with that. I still topped damage on parasites (though by far less than before), and still killed the boss. What concerns me is that’s all I can do. The only reason this looks strong is because the adds don’t live long enough for anyone else to hit them.
This is more clearly seen in Mythic+. Do a low key, and Fury looks super strong because mobs get melted in 10s, because that’s where Fury deals 85% of its damage, but move into higher keys where combat lasts 30, 40, 60 seconds and you’ll see how far that advantage falls.
He quite literally calls out the problems Fury has, and isn’t’ advocating that Fury just stay in a poor state tuning wise.
He’s fine with nerfs on the only fight that fury is good at. His issue is he’ll always negotiate against himself before he even gets to the negotiation table with Blizzard or his fans. To paraphrase what he is saying, he is essentially saying ‘you know that one fight that even keeps fury from falling off the bottom class performance statistics? I’d be fine with being nerfed on that fight specifically, however… we might be bad somewhere else’
We aren’t even in the top 5 performing specs on that fight currently and he’s still willing to throw what little we have left in some attempt to appear diplomatic. No, I will not give up a single inch, we need to move forward only. No more of these 2 steps back 1 step forward type negotiating that people like him like to do. It’s awful.

Open the schools, reading comprehension is so awful these days. He quite literally says, “What concerns me is that’s all I can do.”
Like this is just twisting his words, and not reading the whole context of it. He has not said, “Oh yeah Fury Nerfs are super chill. Cool beans. Great job Blizz.”
Because Blizzard doesn’t listen to feedback being hostile or sit around being hyperbolic at every turn. You will always do better when communicating feedback, if you do it in a respectful and diplomatic way.
This is just not true at all. When people loudly complain and get all up in arms and make a million Reddit, twitter, and forum posts. When well known class leads and content creators talk about it and get upset it when Blizzard actually does something.
Archi is too diplomatic. He has been ever since balance got ruined when Aug was introduced. Even Critcake lowkey took a jab at him in his video yesterday.
Warrior dps has been a lower-middle of the pack to downright bad since then in aggregate.
