Harronir are all but confirmed as the next allied race, with tons of data mining they are looking very likely.
What racials do we think they would have?!
I would imagine something to do with the roots. I think rooting an enemy might be a little underwhelming, but maybe a weaker version of the druid spell mass roots that roots the target and all enemy targets within 10 yards for 4-6 seconds on a 2-3 minute cool down?
This would be useful in pvp and pve.
As far as cosmetic racials, maybe they could get a bat form as a racial like soar and running wild. We don’t know if all Harronir can turn into bats, or if we’ve only seen druids so far. They could have a whole culture of other classes.
Which brings me to the possible class section.
I think thematically Druid, Priest, Warrior, Rogue, Hunter and Shaman make the most sense thematically.
But we will probably also see Monk, Mage, and Warlock since they are available to every race.
That leaves Paladin, Death Knight, Evoker and Demon Hunter as the four classes Harronir will likely not get.
No Outsiders: Be standoffish to anyone from outside of your culture, reducing the chance for enemies to want to be in your presence. Lasts until cancelled or upon moving. Any threat is restored vs enemies in combat or upon cancellation of this effect.
Barkform: Removes all harmful Poison, Disease, Curse, Magic, and Bleed effects and reduces all physical damage taken by 10% for 8 seconds.
I hoped the same thing about Drakonid when I did an entire long questline to free them from their “slavery” to the dragons and allow them to go and live their lives as they saw fit…
Then it never happened.
Same with doing an entire questline that should have unlocked Flame Primalist skins for Nelfs. That never happened either.
I can see trouble making the night elves become even more powerful if the Flame Druids joined them. That could save the writers from complicating night elf stories.
edit: I’m starting to realize we need to discuss night elves for midnight.
Neither of those races had fully rigged armor ready models, cinematic presence, shares a model with an existing race, and more customization options than Vulpera.
Wanting something in your scenario is completely different. There’s an overwhelming amount of evidence suggesting they will be playable.
There wasn’t an overwhelming amount of evidence, no. I encourage you to post some wowhead articles. The last time we had substantial evidence that a race would become allied was Vulpera.
There was plenty of talk about Venthyr and other races that never became playable with “overwhelming evidence.”
Also: no one cares if Dracthyr are an allied race. That’s irrelevant. They are a playable race with no option to wear armor in their experiment form.
You can hope for it. That’s fine. You can theorize all you want. But claiming it’s all but confirmed is an assumption we cannot make.
Venthyr did not have the ability to wear player armor and did not have a heart of Azeroth player animation, and they did not have player animations. Vulpera did, and they became playable.
In the data mining section the Harronir racial customization were found listed alongside Earthen. More customization options are also being found for Harronir every patch, they are continuing to add skin and hair colors.
I will state it because it is a fact, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that suggests they will be playable. Your Venthyr and Drakonids did not have any evidence, you only had wishful thinking. There was NOTHING to suggest they would ever become playable aside from your wishful thinking and hopes, which is fine.
So yes, they are everything but confirmed, which is exactly what the phrase suggests. There is a ton of evidence to support it but they are not confirmed.
Yeah. They did. They were in the Wowhead outfitter thing.
Extremely incorrect. And I had zero desire for playable races from SL.
All you’re doing is giving people hope where there may not be any. Theorize all you like, come up with ideas all you like. But they aren’t “all but confirmed.”
My point is made, please enjoy theorizing racials!
They weren’t, and I challenge you to find the wowhead article that proves otherwise. They cannot equip player armor and they do not have player animations.
It feels like you are just coming in here to argue because you have yet to once actually speculate about what racials you’d like to see. It genuinely feels like you just want to tell people they’re wrong.
i dont think it’s a forgone conclusion when they have a high amount of customizations like hair highlights, eye colors, eye blindness (both, left, and right eye), and a bunch of other character customizations you would expect a player race to have. in the PTR the story is focusing a lot more on the harranir woman who becomes the new speaker of azeroth and you can be sure that in 11.2 that we will be visiting the rootlands (said to be their home) where they become an allied race
