Okay but the original wow developers changed it because it was poorly designed and was broken. They just pushed it to the expansion for something more to sell to paladin players.

They changed it because players wanted it to change. They wouldn’t have changed a thing if people didn’t voice their opinions.
Like I said, TBC is coming. You’ll get to enjoy all your changes in a years time. In the meantime however, we have Vanilla and SoD if you want Vanilla with sprinkles. You already have a concurrently running version with changes if you can’t wait.
This is just not true. They made massive changes during the life time of vanilla and the versions blizzard gives us today do not retain any of the way vanilla originally was. If anything I think the #nochanges should be drinking out of an empty soup bowl over returning us to the way vanilla actually was. pre-changed talents and pre-changed raid loot and all.
But you, just like everyone else, picks and chooses what they like about vanilla and uses "the developers designed this game that way 'as a faux reason to shut down anybody else’s desires.
Nobody is shutting down your desires.
The game finished as it was back then. Nobody is literally asking for “that”.
They are asking you to save your suggestions for an iteration of vanilla where core changes are the goal.
That is not the goal of classic relaunch. When people say vanilla they mean 2019 classic. Surely you understand this?
I would happily play Vanilla in it’s current iteration or how it was patch by patch. Because I like Vanilla. But we’re talking about the same devs who “supposedly” made Warriors intentionally broken out of some spite dating back to EQ days. So did they make changes to the game out of their own interest or for the players? Obviously the players and their feedback.
Again, SoD exists for all your wants and needs. Go play it.
And classes like paladin were broken even after the talent revamp and instead of doing another talent revamp they did in the expansion. Theres nothing special about a class being worse than other classes becuse the developers pushed a much needed rework can down the road.
Being upset about people wanting their class to not be poorly designed is dumb. Let the life-long paladins beg for what they want and go about your day.
How were they broken? They were exceptionally strong healers and supports.
I’m not upset at all. If anything, everyone else is because they can’t figure out how to choose “Season of Discovery” instead of “Anniversary” in the drop down menu on the launcher.

Classic relaunch isn’t about core changes like class balance. He’s wondering why you can’t wait for another season where that is the goal.

Whatever you have to tell yourself. Just get used to making these threads. They’ve taken the stance that some changes are okay even on fresh relaunches. People are going to make threads asking for their favorite features and changes from now until forever. So either get comfortable getting upset about it and making threads about it, or move on and let people ask for what they want to ask for. 9 times out of 10 they aren’t getting it anyways.
