What % of players have over 1 million gold?

1m gold is like 5 tokens, so 100 dollars. So most people can make that in a few hours, I suppose.

I didn’t look, but pretty sure i have 1 million. Had 4 mill in wod due to remote auction house.
Bought a couple of tokens over the last three years, but am selling stuff again lately.

one post wonder - why did you necro this thread to say that.

Across all my toons I have around 9 million (12 toons) I do not play AH, if i happen to have surplus mats or boe epics, I AH them. Never sold a token. Gold just sort of piles up over time.

Not I. Had over a million a few months back but bought some tokens so I could move a few of my horde guys to my main server.

My situation is pretty similar. I have about 7.5 million gold on my account, but I don’t go out of my way to gold farm or play the AH. Just doing daily callings and mission board, collecting paragons boxes, and selling excess consumables/mats or duplicate pets results in a very steady income. I had about 6 million coming into SL, and the first few months I spent quite a bit getting legendaries and other stuff. Was down to about 5 million early in 2021, but have build back up over the last 10 months.

Buying the brutosaur wiped out my funds, so I’m only at around 3milion across all characters. Every once in a while, I funnel it all into one character.

Most players don’t even get to token levels of gold without buying one. Let alone a single million.

I wonder what the percent of 1 posters using 1 post to necro a thread is?

Though tbf, the thread had already been necro’d from 2 years ago in Sept. Any port in the storm helps I suppose. Riel - like your name. (and mog)

I had 3.5m heading into shadowlands. Tried saving for the brutosaur but never made the extra i needed. Spent 800k~ xfering servers and faction change to ally along with my guild (horde oce is dead at the mythic end for recruiting) . Sitting on 2.1m atm, but come tonight ill be down to about 300k as im hopefully buying mythic sylv as im being sat from my raid team because i refuse to go boomy for prog haha

I probably have about 1m across all my characters, but I spent 7m on the bruto and the spider.

During BFA I got the Long Boi, but that was an oddity for me. Before that I averaged at about 100k. Now I hover between 300-500k a month. No NEED for 1 million, to be honest

I should have about 3-4 million maybe.
I made 1.5 million from the starlight trade alone back in legion.
I made 500k in the beginning of BfA rushing the inscription trade and trinkets.
I made over 1.5k mil off the leather trade in beginning of Shadowlands.
My biggest sources of wealth are basic supply and demand chases.

Smart people will know how to take advantage of the mage tower currently :eyes:

I remember the first real grind I did for gold. Anyone remember those AH pieces from WoD that dropped in Ashran? Sold enough pieces to make a solid 400k-600k! In MoP I held a monopoly on virmen’s bite on Antonidas AH for 72g35s50c a pop!

Good times!!

p.s. - I don’t grind like I did in those 2 expansions. I also spent that gold as fast as I made it on mounts

Anyone who played WOD and Legion went into BfA with 4 to 5 million gold minimum. I know players that had so many alts working missions they had over 30 million gold by the time Legion ended.

Had 1 mil at the start of Shadowlands but, buying legos on the AH for all my toons killed it. Now I am broke.

I’m definitely the exception to the rule, but been hovering around 20 mil since BfA. Gaining money really isn’t that hard so long as you take the time to do it. Yeah I can spend 400k on a Lego, or I can spend the hour or so crafting it myself at a 20k cost. While not necessarily a good example, it is ways of streamlining money. At this point in the game it really doesn’t matter anyways because Gold doesn’t buy much unless you are using the AH for everything.

As for the OPs question, most of the players I know are around that 200-300k mark. There is a bell curve going with my friends were 3 of us have over 10 mil, a majority is at that sub 400k, and then a very few under the 100k point. Anyone who is under 100k usually is spending all their money at the AH or just came back from a break.

to be called rich you need to have like 25m

Right now about 1,500 but in BFA I had 500,000 +/-

I’ve sat around 1 million for years. The Brutosaur was the only thing I considered buying big but I didn’t have the motivation to grind more.
