I know right ? You know it’s coming. When max was level 120 with jillions (new word) of health they smashed all the players and items. When players are starting to push 15 million hp they’ve already lost control of all stats in the game.
I’m pretty sure that they’ve already stated a squish will likely happen with Midnight.
If it’s done right it’s fine, all it does is lowers our health and damage, lowers the enemy health and damage and all of the percentages stay the same.
I feel like last time it didn’t work out like that though. For example a mob that used to take five hits to defeat all of a sudden took eight… or something they used to hit for 20% of my health all of a sudden but for 30%
uhm. a item squish…how would that work without having dire consequences for players?
why is it if the players stats go way down but the mobs never get a stat squish? im at 9m health on my blood dk if if my hps get squished down mobs at level 60 should have the same squish and only have 20hps and mobs level 30 and below should maybe have 3hps more like 2.3hps (not 2.3k) but 2.3, that will never happen
If they would stop it with the ridiculous item and stats ramping, they wouldn’t have to do a squish. I’ve never been a fan of the numbers ramping the way they do in this game.
That is exactly what happens.
We’ve done this already.
It’s not perfect but it’s close enough for most purposes.
i dont see any mobs in the game with less than 10hps even at very low levels.
Shouldnt all those mobs have 1hp with the number of stat squishes that happened over the years? or even .01 hps so you just run by really fast and the wind of you moving by them kills them?
Yea, they never get it right
No. There is scaling in the adjustments. One factor is that when you are significantly higher level, you get a scaling damage bonus against mobs. Like can go and hit a spider in Elwynn Forest with a chaos bolt for 500 million damage.
There are a few different aspects.
weird my level 1 warlock cant do that much damage! i better check the spec and see how to reroll my abilities.
They probably mean a stat-squish, which we’ve had before.
We’ve also had 1 level squish and 2 item level squishes, but I don’t think either of those are what OP’s talking about.
well yes. A level 1 is missing a lot of stats compared to a level 80.
But the scaling multiplier only happens when you’re noticeably overleveled in content that has been previously stat-squished, so a level 1 in Elwynn wouldn’t get it.
Big health and damage numbers don’t bother me. They are all relative anyway.
But, I’d appreciate a repair cost squish.
me too! hahaha
they need to add diablo 3’s indestructible items into wow since they are trying to mix diablo with wow and wow with diablo. Having that item with “effect” equip’d makes repair costs 0 since you take zero damage on gear when you die.
Get all your legacy raid farming finished before Midnight prepatch hits. It’ll be ten times harder, if not impossible to do bfa/shadowlands/dragonflight after the squish.
Why does it matter if a boss has 1.5B health and we hit in the millions, or if a boss has 1.5M health and we hit in the thousands?
It’s all the same, bosses will take just as long to die.
Never understood why players are bothered by “big numbers.”
If people want to see big numbers, go to org pig farm at max level and see them in the millions
We’ve had two or three squishes. They were all fine. This one will be too. I dont care if my eternity surge hits for 800k or 8k as long as the percentage of damage done remains the same and it will.
Maybe if they didn’t have a 500ilvl gap between seasons it wouldn’t need to happen as often
With the side bonus of people not wasting their time playing an earlier season and you aren’t super behind if you haven’t played the game for a little while
