it was Awesome, i loved it!
specially the part where bowser just blew up the entire ice castle, and the part where they just threw snowballs at him for solid min.

It surprised me in a good way. Was expecting a total disaster but it actually looks kinda decent.

I really thought that would be a deal breaker after hearing how it wasn’t much different than Chris Pratt’s normal voice, but after watching the trailer it somehow didn’t bother me like I thought it would.
Well… i can already tell you i’m getting the 1993’s vibes that it’s building up something to be something epic… as in, i’m just going to wait and see how it turns out…
I do have to be honest… Mario looks slightly off from what he looked like from Oddessy. I mean it’s roughly the same model, but something about it, gives me “This is a different art style” vibes… as in, i’m not watching Nintendo’s interpretation of Mario and more of Dreamworks or Pixar’s or any other animated movie’s interpretation of Mario down to a T but has it’s own style that makes it not almost distinctly Mario.
Sort of like Illumination studio’s interpretation of The Grinch, If that makes sense.

I was honestly surprised.
I mean I knew Jack Black would be great as Bowser. Chris Pratt surprised me tho. He sounds a bit more of a new yorker which reminds me of the live action Bob Hoskins version ( Which I love. No joke I love the live action mario movie )
Oh right forgot. I also just like how squishy everything is. Illumination just has a lotta practice with that squish in their animation.
I wanna see these guys animate a Kirby movie. Kirby would be so freaking cute in that style
